he is right. I tried to buy an applecare in US for my Iphone couple of years back and they told me that I will have to cross the border everytime I needed to fix my phone.

I live in Canada and used my local cellphone for the registration code and it worked. Got the reply and made the reservation for a US store even if I was in Canada.
I've purchased products in the US before and never had any issue getting service here in Canada afterwards. Where you bought it doesn't matter. I've gotten also gotten Apple Care + online from around the world and that hasn't affected service as well.

I bought the applecare+ here in Canada and it worked. So thanks New hamshire for not having taxes, I saved a lot of money instead of a $519 + 15% taxes here in Quebec...
