Buying New Macbook Pro when it comes out, student discount question

no, im still 17. will this be a problem? do they actually check your age? if so ill probably just order it online...which would suck since id have to wait, but for me saving $200 dollars is a big deal.

No it doesn't matter how old you are.

thanks for the replies, i hope it does work. i just had a conversation with one of the apple "experts" using the chat on apples site and she first told me no but then i told her i had a student id number on my letter and then she said yes and tried to make the sale on me. she was unsuccessful though, as i informed her of the notebook refresh haha. i prt scr-ed it though and printed it out in case they give me a problem at the apple store. thanks

i think the best way is having your mom work for a university so you can always get the discount 😀. It worked way back for me when the discount still applied to iPods.

just become a high school teacher you get the discount that way too. or order it online they rarely check.

not buy a MBP and just get a MB.

I bought a MBP at a UK apple store last year (It s a 100 pound save) when I was doing my A level and I got a discount using my high school ID so I think u would be fine to get the discount using your high school ID.
