Sorry bout that, didn't realize that you were in Canada. That's going to require some patience because shipping can be expensive. And probably a brokerage fee if not sent USPS.

What died on your G3, the video or the logicboard?
If the video board's gone I can't help you because your model doesn't have external video out. That would be if the power button lights up and you can hear it run through the boot process but the screen remains dark

hey would u know where i could get a firewire imac g3 motherboard and dvd drive thats what i need cause i can fix my hdd

Im thinking about a powermac g4 500 dual to replace my belovid imac g3 how much would the max i should pay like smaller hd and ram

I actually just bought a 80 GB G4 PowerMac QS 867MHz, 1.28GB RAM. I too am using as a secondary computer. Mainly internet browsing, about 4GB of music, and just regular use; nothing major. I payed $180 and it works fine so if you're looking for something similar, I wouldn't pay any more then $200.

Even though these are becoming outdated, they will perform fine for normal uses for years to come. Just don't try any video editing on it :p

It won't install using the Apple installer on the DVD, but there evidently are ways to hack it to force it to install.
Installing Leopard on legacy G4 Macs and Powerbooks that don't work with LeopardAssist

1.) Place the 10.5 Install disk in your drive.

2.) Restart your Mac and immediately after the chime hold down COMMAND+OPTION+O+F until you see a light gray screen with black text (you have booted into Open Firmware mode)

3.) let go of the keys and type in the following five commands EXACTLY as shown, and hit the RETURN key after each line (you will see an "ok" each time confirming that what you typed was correct):

Code:
dev /cpus/PowerPC,G4@0
d# 867000000 encode-int " clock-frequency" property
d# 867000000 encode-int " min-clock-frequency" property
d# 867000000 encode-int " max-clock-frequency" property
multi-boot

Select the Leopard Install DVD when it appears as the boot disc option and proceed with installation.

Note: This procedure worked great on my Powerbook G4 Ti 667. I maxed RAM to 1GB, and Leopard runs fine with lite use (surfing, email, word processing, printing, etc.). I rarely see even 75% of onboard memory in use. It does tax the processor at times, mostly during Flash-based video. I also added a MaxPower 802.11b/g/n card, and wireless is blazing to my Netgear WNR834B v.2 router

great.

If only my LC II supported open firmware, we'd be all-go!

Imagine running Leopard on a 16MHz 030 with 256k of VRAM.

(insert LOL here)
