i just got a 3G, I don't care for the new iphone. It can't be SOOO different that I'll regret getting my 3G. infact I still loooovee the 2G and wish I could still buy one at the store...

just get it.

or don't get it.

you could also browse around the forum and see how many people are asking the same question and read all of the responses and make your decision.

Seriously?

If you NEED to buy it then why ask? OF COURSE it's the worst thing to do when YOU KNOW a new one is about to be announced, but hey it's your call. I personally say just get a cheap phone to tie you over until July. I know its a while but it should be worth it:cool:

It's true that Apple will no longer allow purchases of the iPhone 3G when the next version is announced? And that this thing isn't an option for the Operator (VDF in my case)?

As we know Apple they almost always get rid of their old preoduct before with the help of special deals for replacements (water damage) or special deals with the carrier... here in germany tmobile has all kinds of deals all the sudden... so the phones will probably just pretty much sold out...

as far as upgrading goes I wouldn´t count on them letting you upgrade a month or so after you just signed a new contract ... here in germany you´ll have to sign a two year contract and the only option to "upgrade" would be paying 500-700 euro for an unlocked phone and use that... the earliest they will let you upgrade would be after 1,5 years to get you to sign on for another 2 years ...
so I imagine it must be hard but waiting two more weeks (to at least see the new phone) can´t be that bad...
except of course if you have the money to go for reallly expensive upgrade options in 1-2 month (in wich case you probably hadn´t sold your old phone)

But not in Italy. It'll take time to arrive in Italy.
Just like the 3G did.
nope, the 3g arrived in eu & us at the same time :D
