Don't worry about Tennessee and the fires burning everyone's homes and businesses, we got bigger issues here.
They're referred to as "EarPods."I was travelling on business and early this AM my 6+ showed the first signs of "dead screen disease" or what ever it is being called. It's a company phone BTW. Couldn't wait for repairs and could not be without a functioning phone so went to an Apple store and got a new 7+ (Reg black, 256 because that's what they had at the store I was nearest).
I like the phone overall but for $1300+ Cdn before tax and AppleCare they can't put the headphones in a protective case? Seems a bit "cheap" to me.
I did try searching "headphone case" in the forums first but none of the threads looked like a proper hit. I use my old headphones a lot and like having the case to keep them from getting wrecked when not in use. I'll try putting the new ones in the old case but the lighting connector looks like it will be an issue.
oh my god. really? such a hard life.
There are absolutely ZERO iDevice discussion topics which aren't "first world problems." Why are you here if not to discuss them?#firstworldproblems

And the other bloke complaining has almost 50 posts in an iPhone 7 preorder/shipping thread. And yet you have started a thread complaining about Apple keyboards being too small. Pot meet kettle![]()

Watch your step. The first one off your high horses is a doozy.
If it was actually done for 'green' purposes and not just to increase profit. Some people don't like change and a perceived drop in quality or value for money. Having said that, I don't give a monkeys because I don't use earbuds. For every person like the OP there are 100 who just take the headphones out of the box and throw the box away (I'm one of them). I'm Ok with Apple being a bit more green by using different materials for the packaging.
Apple's famous pretty white wire sheathing is pretty fragile. We've had to replace a lot of various cords and yes, my kids in particular have killed a number of sets of earpods.."Keep them from getting wrecked"
They're not gonna get wrecked that easily. Talk about making a problem out of nothing.
Thanks for offering some info that was relevant and I appreciate your support re: those who seem to only want to derail an otherwise simple discussion. They're referred to as "EarPods."

Seriously doubt you "stored" them and used them with any regularity. The time it takes to neatly put them back in and align them so it closes right is obscene.
