Not really seeing any difference between the BT on my SE and any of my other devices, so I'm quite happily using mine. As far as the rattle, yup, it's there. But then, since I don't have a cause to make it rattle, it's not a problem. On the screen, since there is always something on the screen and there is nothing affecting my daily use of the device, I'm not encountering an issue.
Too bad the OP is having issues. Wish him well with whatever he chooses.
On my rose gold 16gb I have the rattle as well but no Bluetooth issues or yellow band as well.

Those of you without the BT issues are you testing calls and not just music? Mine is only messed up on calls, music sounds fine.

All the buttons are rattling but this is really no problem like it wasn`t with my iPhone 4S.

Rattling buttons? Is this a thing...? I never heard of this before and know many people who had (some still have) 4S, 5, and 5S iPhones.

I never had rattling buttons on my 4, 4S, 5S. Which was why I was surprised to hear it was 'a thing'.

Stop me if you've heard this one before....

Guy walks into an Apple Store and says, "Hey Mr. Genius Bar, when I put my SE close to my ear and shake it vigorously it rattles. Can you help?"

Mr Genius Bar says, "Sure....stop putting it close to your ear and shaking it vigorously."

Yes. For some instances, it requires ridiculous behavior to create the issue. However, lots of people have buttons that rattle loudly enough to hear it, even in normal usage. I don't care for my phone to sound like it's falling apart when it vibrates. I don't care to hear a clicking movement of buttons when I pick up my phone, set it down, or adjust how I'm holding it.

It's simply not true to state that everyone is blowing this out of proportion. Yes, some are, but many are not.

There was a thread a while back with the 5s, and home button rattling. Do a search to find it.

After knowing you got the 6S for $549, I'm just going to wait it out for a price break and go with that one or get it preowned. I need it closer to $500 for the plunge. I'm going to return the SE.

I'm sure some price reductions will come with each carrier soon, specially when it gets a bit closer to the 7 announcement. I have this feeling that Apple will (hope I'm wrong) keep the same case with a few modifications on the 7 with only a better camera, cpu and a missing headset jack. Not enough for me to upgrade until 2017. I really like my 6s. Perfect size for my hands and pants :D

Ok. That's funny. I can't deny it.

I've seen numerous posts, though, where others (including me) stated that setting the phone down, picking it up, rotating the camera for videos, vibration of the phone, etc (all normal usage) cause a very much audible rattle/noise. It is not the camera and it's not planned that way. I won't accept that as an argument. You're welcome to argue that you don't think it's an issue that matters TO YOU. But you're just flat out wrong to try to belittle a legitimate issue some are finding.

First of all, just so you know where I'm coming from, I am no Apple apologist. I have horrible BT issues with my SE and my 2014 GMC Denali OEM car kit, as I had with the iP6 before that. And I had weird BT issues with my iP5 before Apple finally fixed them in updates. So I know Apple has issues that affect many people.

Ok, so, for the record, it's not that I don't believe you are hearing something. I actually have the dreaded SE death rattle. It seems to be coming from the Power Button, but I can only hear it when I take the phone, hold the phone so the top with the Power button is within a few inches of my ear, and vigorously shake it as if it was a can of paint.

Under no circumstances can I hear by setting it down, picking it up, rotating the camera for videos, or anything else that constitutes normal usage. My Seidio Surface case keeps all SE buttons completely exposed, and I have ABOVE-average hearing.....actually had my hearing acuity tested just last year.

Therefore, logic dictates that either you have a defective phone, which can easily replaced for a new one, or you are one of the MANY MR posters who apparently suffer from OCD. Either way, in my opinion this just isn't a real issue, but again.....that's just my opinion.

That's legitimate. My opinion is that a phone this expensive should feel more solid than wiggling buttons that wiggle enough to cause noise. I think they should be firm and secure. That's just my opinion.

It's completely fine if we disagree. As I've said, I'm glad it doesn't bother many people (for their sake). Wish apple would put that extra effort in to make the buttons more like the 6S buttons. They simply decide to save the cost of doing so and keeping margins as high as possible.

Alas, it is what it is. Glad you're enjoying your phone!

It's funny about personal preferences.....I got the Apple Leather case for the SE before my Surface case arrived, and the thing I hated about it the most is something you might love.....it completely covered the Power and Volume buttons making them a little harder to push, but absolutely silent.

Why not just exchange it, instead of getting a completely different phone model?

Either way, good luck, in finding a replacement.

So, I got the new 6S today - with a perfect screen and TSMC chip (for whatever ;-)).

But viewing the SE and the 6S side by side I could not do it - I could not send the SE back to apple.
Within the last two weeks I got used to it`s size and weight so I will keep it. I`ve been waiting for it since I heard about it and my old iPhone 6 felt always too big in terms of usability.

The only real disadvantage, compared to the iPhone 6S, is the screen. It IS yellowish, perhaps some kind of backlight problem. If it really bothers me within the next two years, I'll let it exchange with applecare. The bluetooth problems are well-known so there is a chance apple will fix it soon.

And thanks to all that MR troubleshooting I now have two iPhones... and I am totally sure (LOL) which one finds its way back to Apple. Hopefully I can live with that ;-)

If you can live with the display and do not need the features the 6s gives over the SE, then by all means keep the SE and save money.

It seems that the SE size is better for you but I have to admit TSMC and good screen...it's tempting Lol

I personally want to keep the SE size is "perfect" for me but with this yellow tint on top+samsung I'm tempted to play the lottery again.

I opened the 6S box, checked the screen... TOP.. checked the chip... TOP.... hm, ****. But the SE size IS perfect ;-)

As I can live without the few missing features, saving the money was exactly what I had thought.

Ok may be you should just buy another SE and just keep the less yellow... Just saying lol...

My original SE had bad yellow tint, and the folk at the Apple Store thought I had night mode on when I showed them. My replacement is fine.

If you really want the SE, there are ones out there that don't have bad yellow tint. Supplies are tight at the moment so difficult to exchange in most places though.
