Unglued isn’t a controlling device but one of the only systems that lets the kids earn more time, manage their time, even roll over time they haven’t used.
I think, if your dad was willing to choose this device over all the others that he’s probably willing to negotiate with you and talk about what YOU can do to increase your time. Try it. Can’t hurt to ask. My best to you.

I didn't get a cell phone until 2002 when I was 18, when I could get it on my own and have it in my own name. Had to wait until it could be in my name solely.

It was the successor to the classic Charlie's Angels Nokia brick phone, successor in that instead of a green and black screen, it had a WHITE and black screen.

Couldn't imagine mom n pop fronting me a $500-$1000 handheld computer.
