I was wondering if anyone tried calling Apple back after they purchased a Refurbished model.. cause it seemed the guy on the phone I spoke with said something about "like for like" so i guess they only cover that policy with new MacBooks? Any imput would be great!

Anyone know if they offer any relief on refurb purchases? There is about $100 difference on the "old" models now.

LOL, order date of april 17th

called apple and they are issuing a 151$ rebate :p

They offered to retake the computer/full refund and I can reorder anything I want but the updated specs aren't worth it

Love :apple:

They offered you a full refund huh? Did you have yours upgraded or customized at all when you ordered it from apple? Additional RAM, Bigger HD, etc?? Or did you just buy a premade machine? Cause I asked if I could exchange mine and pay a few $100 more and get a new MB but they told me no cause mine was a "customized" model.

Did you call the Tech Support or Sales Support number for this? I didn't order mine online, bought it at an Apple Store on Apr 27. The Store I bought it from told me I couldn't get a refund since I was 5 days outside of the return period. If I called Sales Support would they take care of this for me?

I am in Canada so I called the 1800 number and then asked for sales order status/support and asked if I could get a credit. Just got off the phone with them and the credit has been issued on the cc :)

CTO = custom ordered
vga dongle = vga out for external monitor
The telephone rep I was speaking to is who I was talking about lol

Oh ok. I wish I could exchange mine. But since I added 1gb of RAM to have a total of 2gb RAM I can't. I also got a VGA adaptor and I got an external modem. REALLY bites. but 2.16Ghz can't be that big of an upgrade. I'll upgrade HD later.

ah, i also uprgrade my ram to 2GB from 3rd party and sold the old 1gb ...

so I'd rather take the 150$ and call it the best mac purchase I have ever made so far :)
