Apple has to send at least a few ipads to the stores where its been promised. Walmart is lame anyway. Shop at a real store that doesn't force unpaid overtime.
My friend is at the Walmart in Fort Lauderdale and says they have only 5 total, all black - 16gb - no WiFi. Why does Apple even bother sending 5 out to people?

I am standing in a Target line in Redlands, CA. I came at 2pm and was the first in line. With that said they only have 5 of each model. There are currently 7 folks in line.

Where is the apple store in that mall... have not been to that mall in Crystal city for years.

For all those on the eastcoast that got theirs at an Apple store, any idea on how many ipads your store had? I'm about 100th in line in CA and can't decide whether to try Best Buy instead.

Got mine! Boyton beach didn't have any more tickets by The time I left. People kept joining the line though.... Trying to get one based on luck. 32g wifi!!! These ipads are so much sleeker then The old ones

Best buy I went to had about 100-150ish.

Columbia Mall MD sold out of 32, 64, and 3G in an hour. I left when it was down to 16 only. When does the restocking begin?

went to 3 best buys in NYC and all sold out right away. No more stock expected until Monday. Spoke to two GMs. They were taking pre orders with desposits

Walmart in Yucca Valley, CA was only sent four units - all 64GB models. One guy in line at 3:30PM. I wanted the base model (no 3G; black) so I left.

There was approx 100-120 folks in front of me in Greenville, SC. I got there at 320pm. I had to "settle" for 2 64gb ATT's. I orig wanted 2 32gb ones. In black. Lots of cases and hdmi adaptors.

I think we had about 200 people. The girl I asked said they sold out all the AT&T models but hardly anyone had touched the Verizon models. I'm guessing it was related to people already having AT&T and not wanting a separate bill and the whole activation/reconnect fee fiasco with Verizon.
