I have a bit of a 1970s toy collection. My favourite 1970s Matchbox cars...

Great collection. I had many of those and passed a few onto my son, although they all have been well loved. My favorite was the car transporter- the ramp on mine is broken and plastic really beat up- but still works ok for play. thanks so much for sharing.

Some more toys from my childhood. I used to take the roll caps and hit em with a hammer. I never had sea monkeys but my sisters did. Slime was awesome.

I had that garage as a kid.

Holy smokes! I did too (and that dog).

I’ve got a small collection of some Matt Mason toys, Callisto, Sgt. Storm. I don’t really collect formally, just happen to pick these up at some random garage sales.

I wish I would’ve kept some stuff like my Star Trek action figured (had the bridge with the transporter), but I did keep some Micronauts.

Is anyone here a fan of the old board games - such as Monopoly, Cluedo, Ludo, (and then, later, graduating to Scrabble) and so on? Back in Ancient Times - in other words, back in the 1970s, I must admit that I spent quite a lot of time playing these games with my brothers, one cousin, and some friends….

More recently, I have seen some beautifully made wooden replica sets of those games. I will not deny the fact that I was tempted…...

Oh yes, Monopoly and Clue (not sure why they changed the name for North America) have long been favorites. I've never heard of Ludo though.

Yes we used to play all those. Frustration was another favorite. Later Battelships and Risk.

Tandy 1000? That was not a real computer, This was a computer:

I so wanted one of those

I'm glad someone else remember those... I recently had a very bizarre discussion with a recently graduated Computer Science major who was adamant that there was never, ever any such thing as an 8080 cpu.

Yes, I never knew why the name has been changed for the North American market, either.

But I had many hours enjoyment with both Monopoly and Cluedo - brilliant games, both.

Never played Frustration or Battleships. But 'Risk', yes. We played that. And another board game called 'Go' (a sort of travel game). Wonderful memories….

Never played Go. Here is a picture of Frustration. One of our caravan holiday staples as a child.

Mastermind was another one I used to play...
