My only other issue is the 6+ camera stabilization. Is there a big difference in taking photos?
Won't notice a difference, really. Low light shots are better. The biggest difference in these 'S' models is that the OIS now works in video too, which could give the Plus a good edge if that is a concern of yours.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to be going back and forth on this all day. LOL!

You're not the only one. All day today I'll go between the 6S and 6S Plus. But I do know I'm finally taking the plunge and going at least 64GB. I might end up going with 6S 128GB, depending on what is available tonight. I'm SO glad it's a Saturday morning, so I can go back to sleep afterwards. I'm hoping the extra week before it's available means I'll have no problems getting one.

I don't find it too large at all but I am actually going to swap from my 6 Plus to regular 6S this time. Cost has been the main deciding factor for me as if they were the same price id undoubtedly go for the Plus. I've just found over the past year that I haven't really found it to be worth the extra money, I love having the bigger screen but I can live without it.
I was hoping when i bought my 6 Plus that ap developers would make better use of the extra screen space and landscape modes but I haven't really found it any different.

My experience is the 6 plus is to big. I will be down sizing if I buy another iphone this year. I liked the larger screen for a while. But the new has worn off and a phone that could maybe fit in my pocket will better fit my life style.

I have a 6+ and will be downsizing to the 6S. Biggest factor for me is the pocket-ability of the +. I bent mine the first few weeks. I was keeping it in my front pocket all the time. After Apple replaced it I took it out ever time I sat down. I don't wear tight pants.

Other factors for me - The screen rotation is annoying at times. Sometimes it won't rotate correctly. It thinks it's landscape when it's portrait and I have to take a few seconds to flip it to the opposite landscape to get it to rotate to that, then rotate again to portrait. When I did that and the screen had an app folder open and it finally goes back to portrait, I close the app folder then the home screen is back in landscape. I also bought it hoping that it would be big enough for web browsing to replace my iPad Mini. Sitting on the couch at home I was hoping I could use one device to text, surf the web, play games... It's not big enough to be great at everything.

I will second the last point made in this post. I don't consider my Plus a 'phablet' of in anyway a replacement for any another devices such as an iPad or laptop etc. It's very much still a phone size device and I use it for exactly the same things I used my previous iPhones for and I still use my iPad for all the same tasks.

Well I have my Amazon cart filled with one screen protector and case for each. Now a decision...

i absolutely LOVE my 6+ and i'm getting the 6s+!

however, hubby has practically hated his + from day one and is downsizing to the 6s.

You'll get used to the size. I like the larger screen. It makes a significant difference when watching videos, browsing the web, and taking pictures. Longer battery life and OIS are great to have as well. Its only downside is that it runs games slower than the regular 6, due to it having to push more pixels.

These points exactly. For a while I loved the huge screen and the landscape mode. But I can think of maybe three apps that have really made use of the extra screen space. Most developers haven't done anything special for plus users. Also the split screen view in the default apps hasn't proven as useful as I'd hoped due to the small screen size compared to an iPad. Also, the landscape keyboard on the plus is atrocious ergonomically. Now that the newness of a having an iPhone phablet has worn off, I realized I still reach for my iPad whenever I really want a big screen and mainly use the plus the same as all my previous iPhones. Except the plus doesn't always fit nicely in my pockets...

The only thing I would really miss about the plus is the OIS. The sharper screen is definitely nice, but I don't notice a huge difference over the regular 6 unless I am holding the phone really close to my face. But OIS has allowed me to get some really nice low light shots off my 6 plus that simply weren't possible on my 6. I am definitely disappointed Apple didn't add OIS to the regular 6S, as that would have made the decision to switch to the smaller phone WAY easier. At the end of the day though, both are just smartphone cameras that are limited by a small aperture, plastic lenses, and no optical zoom. And, if I'm really honest with myself, the vast majority of the pictures I take get texted to family and friends or posted on social media. Either phone will be just fine for those tasks.

I think I'll be switching from the 6+ to the regular 6S this time around. At least I'm 90% sure...

I am also a hair worried about the battery life moving down. I love my current battery life a ton. But I am not really a power user, heck I even end some day around 74% normally more like 50%. So I think I should still get a full day easy, or I hope I do. But I do really wish they would have included OIS too. I don't think we will notice the difference in screen unless they are side by side. Even then not sure I would.

You also nailed it on when I need a big screen I am not reaching for my phone its my computer.

I'm also a bit undecided on 6s or 6s plus that's why i would be more curious how are you guys carrying the 6 plus? In the hand all the time or ?

In my front pants pocket. It can be a pain when sitting sometimes but I think I'm used to just taking it out when I sit and putting it on the table or bar. :) Sounds really wrong.

I've been borrowing people's 6's all day today at work and I think I want the larger screen. It really bums me out losing it. The 6 feels right though.

I bought the 6 and 6+ at introduction last year and the 6+ is my daily user and not even looking back. The poor 6 is a backup in a drawer in my home/office.

Get the 6+. I originally got the 6 and had 6+ envy. I was lucky enough to be able to give the 6 to someone else in my family to justify mid-year upgrade to 6+.

The battery life alone makes the 6+ better than the 6.

It's this issue plus what was said above this about the size being a bigger issue than I thought (though it does actually fit in my pocket) and that the screen size wasn't as big of an advantage as I thought.

But I am still pulled back by the battery life, and the landscape split screen, which I do use a lot and the OIS, which honestly I am not sure how much I am truly using it or benefitting from it, but I like features!

So, really torn. Only 17 hours to make a decision.

Nice username, BTW. M-I-Z!

I thought it was ridiculously huge at first and debated if i did the right thing of returning my 6 for the +. Although sometimes I wish I had a smaller phone, the bigger/better screen and bigger battery life make it worth it to me.

I carry my 6 Plus in a purse or backpack and in my back shorts or jeans pocket. I'm 5'1".

USING the 6 Plus is an absolute pleasure. I can use it two handed or one handed because of the thin wallet case I use that allows me to have a grip on it. The screen is beautiful, bright and perfect. While I was hoping for AMOLED for something new and exotic I can't say I was gutted when I found out it was still LED. It's just an amazing sharp screen and that's that.

It does lag terribly upon some rotations from portrait to landscape. In fact such lag can turn into freezes for me in camera mode. But I'm hoping the new processor will eliminate this problem.

But carrying it around is annoying as all get out. As I am always saying on this forum ad nauseum, I spend the growing season out gardening and landscaping. Keeping the phone on me to work in tandem with my Apple Watch is aggravating. It can't be done, really. I end up placing the phone down somewhere nearby.

Ideally the wishes and more outlandish rumors would have been true and the 6 would have gotten better resolution and OIS. Yes, to me, a photographer of children and pets in indoor poor lightning, OIS is a godsend. It does make a difference. I get shots now that I never got on my IPhone 5s.

The 6Plus has a good battery. In fact I tend to wear mine down a bit some days. That's another reason I'm hesitant to downsize. Apple needs to make the phones thicker to accommodate better battery life but they won't.

I think I'm stuck ordering through AT&T as a business premier customer and their return policy isn't as nice as Apples if I remember correctly. So I probably will err on the side of caution and go with the Devil I know and get another Plus.

I'm in the same boat. May go from 6 to 6S plus. Peoples opinions are all over the place. Have to judge for myself if it's worth the portability trade off. I'm preordering the plus and will just use the return period if I absolutely hate it.

Firstly, hi all, new to this forum and not sure why i hadn't discovered this platform sooner! Been using iPhones since the 3g days!

I conveniently have 12 month upgrade cycles so that i can move to the newest release every year and am unsure what to do this time round.

Had an iPhone 6 for 11 months and was more than happy with it.

This year, I am considering going for a +... am a little worried that i may find it too large.

Is there any + users out there that find their phones too big or is it something that one gets used to??

I find the 6 + to be a little big, but with the optical image stabilized camera and larger battery, it's worth the minor inconvenience.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to be going back and forth on this all day. LOL!

You and me both, my friend.

I got the 6 on launch day and got a plus in December after selling my 6. I got used to it lie others have said, but at least 3-4 times a week, there's a situation where I am awkwardly trying to perform some task with one hand.

But that big, beautiful high def screen...just don't know if I can part with it. Don't really care about battery or ois. If the 6S was 1080P I'd probably have made up my mind.

I might get both tomorrow, one ony wife's line and one on mine then take back the one I don't want.

For those who are still undecided about the size, you can download this size pdf and print it so you can compare to you current phones and decide.

I used the Note II for nearly 2 years, the Note 4 for 10 months, and now the S6 edge+. Not too big. I much prefer the larger size. The device doesn't feel as restricted in the smartphone vs computer sense; it is more like a computer.

Also check out Phone Arena size comparison tool.

Went into an apple store today and handled a 6+. i have decided that i am going to give it a shot, managed 1 handed control for some simple use which was the only thing that was putting me off. As mentioned, will only need to wait 12 months if i don't get on with it!
