Im just showing Pepsico that not partering with iTunes is a bad idea

Actually its a great idea.

AmazonMP3 is currently cheaper and has better audio quality than most of iTunes library, not to mention the lack of DRM. The only negative is a smaller library than iTunes at the moment.

I hope this deal goes off incredibly so Steve caves on some of his prices and iTunes goes fully DRM-free.

That being said, I hate Pepsi and free music can't convince me otherwise. (Go Dr. Pepper!) :p

Keep in mind, the problem doesn't lie with iTunes, but rather the record labels.

Apple is already selling iTunes plus songs (256 kpbs & DRM free) for $.99/track with cooperating music labels, and would like nothing more than to shift their entire library over to iTunes plus.

Right. That's what I mean essentially by "Steve caving". The rest of the library won't go "plus" unless Steve caves on some of the pricing/royalties, etc. Which is why Amazon is getting all the perks. This promotion, if it shifts market share, would likely cause Apple to concede it position at the bargaining table a bit.

Either way, the consumer wins.

I'm trying to drink less soda anyway. Even diet drinks aren't that good for you. Drink more iced tea. Its refreshing and it has caffeine.

I only drink Dr. Pepper anyway, and I hardly boycott anything because if I boycotted companies based on questionable ethical decisions, I'd never buy anything.

what happend to the countdowns to XX Million (Billions now) i like them even though it was some American that always won the prizes

Oh, I was expecting something legit. This is no reason for a boycott.

Remember, use your tools wisely, or they will become useless.

I doubt the soda machine at work is going to replace Pepsi with Coors.

So a little useless for cheap thrills at work.

I stopped drinking soda/pop a year or two ago, so I guess that counts as being part of the boycott...

Coors? Gah...I wish we had a stout on tap at work, THAT would make the day go faster.

never liked carbonated drinks anyways so no biggie really. though gotta say i thought the boycott was for something huge - i.e. pepsico's been using rat piss to make their soft drinks... :D
