Camera Comparison: iPhone XS Max vs. iPhone X

Yeah, he tried LoL. I'm reading the same info and I don't understand why he sees things like that: Smart HDR needs the A12 specifically or the experience will be subpar.
The A11 is definitely fast enough that taking a few more photos at different exposure than regular and stitching them together shouldn't be a problem.
Like I've said HDR+ Enhanced(which I specifically mentioned in my original post) works on slower phones no problem.
Are you sure you want the XS’s computational photography algorithms implemented on your iPhone X? Not that it’s even possible, but there seems to be a lot of people screaming about how unhappy they are with the XS camera in another thread, you might want to take a look. Maybe you’re better off as is?

Read through this thread - https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-2-xl/help/hdr-vs-hdr-enhanced-t3698330. HDR+ Enhanced ≠ Smart HDR.
Educate yourself. And maybe grow up a little?
LoL so much aggressiveness.
I should educate myself? Why? I'm not the one the tried to lie multiple times.

Those problems are not related to the discussion here in any way.
And Smart HDR has a toggle for on/off so yeah it would be huge plus to see it on the regular X. Simple logic.

Wait you have an iPhone X?
Thought you were android based.

I'd say portrait mode is still hit or miss, look at what it did to the flower's stick. It did a good job on the tree though. Shooting directly to the sun still produces bad pictures but my previous iPhone was worse at that. The last pic is ok since it was taken in a dark spot with some light on the background, the new sensor is capturing more light and that helps a lot.
Overall I think it is a solid upgrade from the 8+ I had before, the telephoto lens is the same but I get OIS so I should be able to take better pictures in low light as well.
I really like how the pics are displayed on the phone thanks to the OLED display, of course once I look at them on my 27'' iMac I start to notice the quality isn't so great. It is a smartphone camera so I can't really complain, the sensor is way too tiny to produce great pictures

Lied, seriously? I was under the wrong assumption with how Google's HDR implementation worked (based on the first paragraph here, as well as on other sites - https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/201...s-big-performance-big-lenses-big-prices/4/#h1), and, like any mature person, I realized my mistake and corrected myself - while also doing a great amount of research on the topic.

At this point, I feel sorry for you - people who know you must find you intolerable.

Oh, and I'm turning on the ignore feature for you at this point - so don't expect any more responses from me - you're not worth the annoyance.

I didn’t realize smart HDR is what you’re wanting. Why would you think a sensor that’s half as fast, a prior generation image signal processor and an NPU that’s 7 times slower is capable of Smart HDR?
