Great, now there are multiple threads in which people list the minutiae about their order. A sticky thread wasn't enough. No, a thread asking if an MBA can ship sooner than expected had to be started, as if the answer isn't obvious. And before someone starts a third thread, MBAs can ship LATER than expected, too.

I ordered mine on June 10th and had it on the 14th. Apple said it should arrive from the 18th - 20th but UPS' tracking page said it would be delivered on Friday. Once you get your shipping information, I'd just trust what the carrier is saying.

Hope this happens to me! Apple still saying the 28th, but UPS is saying Monday!

Do they deliver on Saturdays? I seem to think not but may be wrong...

I don't know, I guess it depends on the carrier. I called Apple today to try to get my tracking information, and the nice automated girl with the Irish accent told me that it was shipped via Royal Mail. Is that possible?

Ultimately, all they did was re-send me the e-mail that said "your item has dispatched", without tracking info.

Looks like our pallet is about to leave China

Mine now says it's with the courier, but I have no more details at all. No estimated date, no number.

I don't know if it ships sooner than expected (mine sat in Shanghai customs for 24 hours), but it can certainly arrive sooner than estimated (mine was scheduled for delivery on Monday the 24th, but showed up at my door on Friday the 21st. Didn't have to wait through the weekend!)

Sorry, that's what I meant - arriving sooner than expected. I don't really care when the damn thing leaves China as long as it's in my hands sooner!

Trying to check my order status, and I'm getting: "We're Sorry.
Something went wrong with your request. Please try again later."

Maybe it's because the page is being updated?

Looks like it's stopped off for a break....

It's in London!
Status LONDON, GL GB

Surely, it can't take until Friday for it to deliver to me? I might call up Apple and ask further details, and if I can't possible go and pick it up from somewhere.

Despite both being ordered within hours of each other then ours have gone different ways by the looks of it.
Mine's just left Dubai.

Mine said London, now says Hinckley again. I recon by the time I get it a new one will be out :)

Yeah but mine was in Hinckley last week, I live in London, so it's going the wrong way.

Pallet stopped off in Cologne. Will it get a hotel, or get a connection this evening ? :)
I've got the same message too.

I just checked Stansted inbound and there's a flight due in from Cologne at 7.15am tomorrow so could well be on that.

I called Apple this morning, and the nice Irish lady said that there's a very good chance that my item will be delivered before the estimated delivery date (Friday 28th).

She agreed with me that it would be best to have it delivered before I go away on the 28th(for me, but also for them), so she told me that "as soon as your Macbook Air arrives in the UK, I will request delivery if possible for the 27th".

My Order status now shows the following:

Status In Transit to Customer - Shipment on Schedule
LONDON, GL GB
Est. Delivery 28 June 2013

I spoke to Apple, and they were able to prioritise my parcel so it is delivered before Friday. A few hours ago, I received UPS tracking information, and estimated delivery is tomorrow. Apple customer service FTW!

However, this brings another dilemma - I'm actually at work tomorrow, so I'm going to have to call them and see if I can change the delivery address to office.

Hi guys,

I ordered my very 1st apple on Saturday and had confirmation that delivery is expected on the 10th July.

Checked the status and it has this:-

Status Shipment dispatched LONDON, GL GB
Est. Delivery 10 July 2013
Carrier
Tracking Number

does that mean it's in London or the London office has dealt with it? Not additional tracking available. If it's in London already I can't understand how it will take 7 days to arrive! (upgraded to i7, 13", Macbook air, 256 and 8gb)

thanks all

warnie.
