I like my Invisible Shield. I prepped myself, concentrated, and was able to install it pretty easily. It stays on perfectly...it doesn't lose its stickiness at the edges. I installed the back only BTW. It's been on for a few weeks now and there's still no scratches on it...it really is scratch proof.

I used to have a Blackberry 8100 which I had an IS on. Over a couple months, the curved edges became loose and got the gunky stuff. Unfortunately I decided to go with IS AGAIN for my iPhone front. BIIIIG mistake. Because it's a wet application process, I think too much water got into my iPhone and now the touchscreen isn't working. Bag of rice and crossed fingers at the moment.

If I had to do it over, I'd go with a dry application for screen protection anyday...:(

Awful product and even worse customer service

Got it for my phone, did not fit right at all, ended up in the bin.

Complained to them never ever got a reply, complained on their forums along with many more unhappy customers only for Zagg to take down the forums so nobody reads all the bad reviews on their products. Terrible terrible company.

Wow, a LOT of bad reviews.

I've used IS on my iPods, my 1st Gen iPhone and my iPhone 3G. you definitely do need some patience and time, and some space to work on it, but if you're patient with it it's worth the results. I think the key is that you have to not be afraid to stretch the material a bit into place. Once you're okay with ding that, the application goes well. And once it sticks, it sticks, and is quite durable.

Customer service at ZAGG has been lacking as of late though. They used to be really good, but have recently been pretty unresponsive.

I keep telling people, buy from bestskinsever.com. They are like 1/3 the price (full iPhone is $7.99) and I personally think they cover the iPhones better than the IS do.

Originally ordered an IS. The way it was cut didn't really fit right, didn't cover the bezel, and the one I got had a giant crease or scratch or something over the front. They shipped me a replacement and I still have it, but I bought a BSE.

I will say that the BSE's are cut much better (closer to the way the iPhones actually are, so the gaps are narrower or almost non-existant and lines up better than the IS) and while the BSE back is more difficult to apply than the IS (the way the corners on BSE are designed, it's tougher to make sure everything lines up), once you got it where you want, it's easier to get it to look good. Three attempts at reapplying the IS corners and I stil could not get the flaps to not bubble up.

Worked great for several years for me on a Treo 650 screen.

The glass on the iPhone seems tough enough to me so I'm not going to put a shield on it for now.

ive had my ipod touch since last september and as soon as i got it i installed the invisible sheild.. its almost been a year now and its perfect.. not a single scratch on it. Its protected it perfectly and hasnt affected the touch response of the screen at all.. yes it was quite difficult to install but you get there in the end :)

Glad to hear that someone else is using BestSkinsEver. I don't work for them in any way, just want to spread the good word on how satisfied I have been with their products. This girl I worked with had an IS on her iPhone, and this other guy and I both had BSE on our iPhones. I noticed how hers didn't cover the corners, and the most noticeable was the huge gap at the bottom of the screen under the home button. The BSE covers the ENTIRE front of the iPhone, and even includes a little piece for the home button itself.

I might have to go without my iPhone for a day so I can put this shield on and let it dry for the recommended 24 hours. You definitely need to be patient and aware of the edges to make sure you don't hang over. If you do that you should be fine.

Great concept, poor execution

Being able to manhandle my 16g White iPhone is such a relief. Having to treat so gently for fear of scratces and to protect it's pristine finish got old ... fast! The IS does an excellent job in protecting my investment. That being said however, there are many aspects of the covering that I have found disapointing. first and formost is the fit. The front screen cover is excellent. I have no complaints about that whatsoever. no distortion, claritiy problems, or navigational henderences when atempting to slide your finger across the screen... not to mention the additional characteristic of being able to stick verticaly to glass... Pretty neat. For the screen it is in my opinion a very affective product. 9 1/2 out of 10. My main Issue is with the coverage of the back.
I will just list my disatifaction. 1. Coverage due to cut of material very poor. when all is lined up correctly, there will be a distortion on at least one of the button switches or various holes on the phone not to mention I could not make it so the flaps did not prtially cover my speaker and mike openings. I could not tell if the material was to cover the crome area or not. As It stands, half of It is covered except the bottom... which is not coverd at all.
2.The corners! The corners! Oh My...The corners!!! It very difficult to get the corners to fit correctlly without any gaps and voids all of which eventually collect dirt due to the exsposed adhesve. to "fit" there was some minor overlapping. I belive a redesign may be in order. poor enginering.
3. Asthetically the over all look is ok. I was hoping that the luster of "naked iPhone would be just as good when covered in the IS. I found it was only slightly less shiny not quite a satin finish effect and somewhat wavy. None the less acceptable. It looks great from a distance, almost unnnoticable that is until the skin starts to PICKUP STAINS! Mine is developing a nice orange-rust patina (and just in time for fall... Whata ya know). This is obviously due to the fact that the phone is... White. I'm shure this is not an issue with the black iPhone. tried to bleach it out with no sucess.
In summory. great product concept with a flawed excecuion. Love it because it protects my phone well as it is inharently a good material but the fit and overall look is severly lacking due mainly inpart to the disign fit and cut . I have not looked into any of the other products for covering the 3g iphone so I am unable to make a legitmate comparison. The Invisable shield does what it says ...Protects. It just doesn't .....Look that great. I will keep it on for that fact alone. Maybe the company will give me a replacment if and when they come up eith a better design..... Yeah....! Tell me!

Didn't like invisi shield ... took it off and threw in bin..

Application was ok but had vertical purple stripe ... customer services complaint resulted in a standard template response and i won't be buying a product from them again.

The few times I called I asked for a replacement and they always say yes.

It's way one asks for things that matters.

It's also the way they say yes. When I asked for my IS replacement, the dude was all like "well, I'm supposed to charge you this, this and this but I'll be a nice guy this one time and do it for free." Felt like I was dealing with a slimy used car salesman.

Holding onto the replacement in case the BSE ever screws up or someone I know gets a 3G, but it's sitting in a drawer right now.

What makes you think that i would want a replacement anyway .... i just emailed to complain that i thought their product was rubbish ... didn't ask for refund/replacement but the response i got was a standard "register and get replacement" email .... i couldn't register anyway cos i got the shield as a gift so i don't receipt and when i removed it i threw it away so i can't post it to them as proof.

ive had two invisible shields now..and it protects the phone extremely well..on thing i notice is that after a while, it starts to look yellow..making your phone look especially ugly if you have the white one..i was forced to remove it because i got the phone replaced through apple..the application process can be very frustrating

...if and when they come up with a better design...

The shape defiantly needs some work. I'm leaving it on for now, but will be asking for a replacement if a redesign happens.

The way I see it, is it looks much better then any case you can buy, but it does not look nearly as good as 'naked'.

Invisible Shield was a huge mistake. Removed it within a week. Bad fit. And has an orange peel look when its completely dry.

Bodyguardz!!! Can't give it enough props!!!! And there are 2 complete sets in the box.
