can emails show up like text messages on iphone?

one thing i noticed recently is how email addresses show up when you text someone. You can actually text someones email address now and it shows as an mms, then when they send one back it comes back just like that. I just tried it myself because i was curious, it comes through just like a text message. Hope this helps

What I would love would be something along the lines of Growl where you could specify what notifications you wanted to see... It would also be great if you could interact with the notifications like hit instant reply for an email or immediately delete something (I'm a bit of a neat freak)...
