So, if i want 2 iphones, will signing up with a family plan to receive multiple free phones be better? has anyone actually done this? can i avoid the activation fee?

thanks!

3 hours before launch time I walked into ATT as a T-Mobile customer with 5 lines on a family plan. I walked out with 5 free Razrs and a 2 year contract. I went back 3 hours later and bought my iPhone. I put my Razr on EBay the next day and sold it in 2 hours for 179.00. I'd have sold more of them, but my family all wanted to keep the new phones. I traded the old ones for $150 worth of gift cards from Circuit City through their recycle program. Worked out pretty well for me.

Only bad thing was the 5 activation fees...but I figure that was unavoidable.

How do i do this

I have RAZr thats subcribtion ends in MAy. Its on a family plan. I want a new iphone. is there anyway i can just upgrade RAZR to iPhone. Please explain. I think i do it through iTunes but my mom doesn't believe me and i don't know how to explain it.

I believe it (iTunes) will make you agree to a (mew) 2-year plan and of course, raise your current plan $20 for the iPhone plan (unlimited data).

the iPhone for cheaper than retail

ok... sounds like this hustle works.

I'm currently with Verizon. I have another 10 months before my contract ends. So I'll sell my old Razr, Slvr and Q for some cash to put towards my $175 early termination fee from Verizon.

Now here's what I'm thinking:

Buy a new BlackBerry Curve and sign up for a new plan at Amazon.com for $75 and get a $75 rebate for the purchase. So now the phone is free. Just gotta pay the activation charge & misc charges. Then sell the Curve at a buy it now price of $250 or $280 on eBay. Then take that cash and put it towards a new iPhone. So I should be paying a little over $150 for a new iPhone.

I think that sounds pretty sweet. What do you guys think?

Paul
