Apple Airport Express copy excluding the USB port and mini jack output.

USb port is only for printers and the sound jack is only for itunes, (unless you pay a third party to give you an enabler to use it with other programs)


If he only needs a enthernet jack the tp box is better,

I have both and I like the TP box much more,

The apple one is ment for home media center or office front desk,

Maybe he just doesn't want a 802.11b device dragging down his network speed because he doesn't have a dual-band wireless router. Maybe he doesn't necessarily need 802.11n speeds, just a device that is 802.11n capable.

At any rate an Ethernet bridge is going to be the easiest and fastest (speedwise) of any method. It'll still max out at 100 mbps, but that's almost 10x faster than USB 1.1
