It might be kind of funny. In my first day of class, we had to introduce ourselves and I told everyone that my favorite show is "The Golden Girls." The room erupted in laughter and I heard some kid call me a douchebag in the distance.
seriously, can you imagine this guy going into an apple store and saying,"is it safe to look at porn on a mac? If so, would you mind jotting down your top 10 favorite sites for me?" c'mmon this guy can not even talk to a girl, u think he's gonna do that. and what if the sales person at apple is a girl. he'd have a complete meltdown..
Not to sound like a d*ck, but there may be a reason you aren't getting attention from the opposite sex...
At least try to come across as someone girls could be comfortable around. And as for talking to them: it isn't all that different from talking to a guy. Girls only tend to become "difficult" once you enter into that "relationship" thing. lol.

I'm not another member on here. I'm just a unique and interesting person with confidence issues and a porn addiction. I called Best Buy to see if they do the rebates that Apple.com has and they said I can only get a student discount. What kind of crap is that? On a positive note, I've been able to do my computer assignments with no problems.
try another BB or ask to speak to the computer manager. sometimes the floor associates don't have all the facts. if they still say it, show them the apple website that says you get the free stuff and ask them what incentive you would have to buy from them instead of Apple if they are not going to follow the whole promotion.
any selfrespecting pron afficionado cannot be ret@rded when it comes to matters of technology and the interwebs. if you cannot make the technological transition, it is back to the magazines and VHS tapes for you...lol
it has been a real blast answering your questions, and you've been a real sport about a little ribbing we've done.
However, I think at this point, it would be beneficial for you to go to BB and look at the machines yourself. and all these other questions you have about rebates, and apple care can all be answered by them.
gotta be honest, you are not going to decide to spend $1-$2K on a machine by talking to us and looking at the online store. go in, and take your time and play with them. tell the salesman that you want to look and you will let him know if you have a question.
I promise you, after you play with one for a 1/2 hour, you'll know exactly why we are all mac users.
A guy in my class has really poor eyesight (enough for him to require a seeing eye dog and use some sort of binocular device) uses a Macbook Pro. It's amazing watching him use it. He seems to know where all of the keys are and he views documents with an extreme zoom in. I wonder if the Macbook's at bestbuy are connected to the internet. If they are I want to try out Quake Live .
