Bought iPhone X on Apple Store Wellington Green FL on Sat nov 4, my last day to return is tomorrow Saturday but now im in Costa Rica , no apple stores here, I can fly to Florida next wednesday (5 days after 14 return policy).
Do you know if they can accept my return?

You can ask, but go in expecting a no. On the plus side if they do say no you should be able to sell it for enough to make yourself whole.

I would recommend taking the phone, and all packaging materials you have with it, and explain your situation. Be honest and up front with your reasoning and see what they say.

Yes. when you go online (apple.com) and request a return the instruction will states that you will need to have the iphone back to Apple by Dec 1st. I just submit a return and thats the date I got. FYI my 14days ends tomorrow just like yours.

Typically they will not but if you talk to the manager and the manager is up to mood, they can make an exception. But generally they will not accept returns after 14 days.

Apple.com does that as they usually give you 21 days. And additional 14 days (Dec. 1st in this case). However, this only applies if you ordered online for delivery of for pick up. If one purchased directly from the store then only those can only be returned at the store.

My 14 day is up tomorrow as well. However, I chatted online to send me a return label (as I couldn't do it on my order as it was grayed out and that I needed to contact Apple. They sent me the return label and I decided to just take it to the Apple store to return it. But the return label instruction in the email stated that they need to receive it by 12/1/17.

Just call Apple.

An Apple genius told me last week that if you buy the phone full price, you have 30 days. He even put it in writing for me.

I went to return/exchange my X. They had none in stock. He gave me a 30 day return period and put it in writing. He specifically said that because I paid full price I had 30 days. Kinda surprised me.
I would be skeptical. Was that apple genius? You should have talked to the manager.

Actually, if you bought on November 4th, you’re last day to return is today as Apple counts the day you bought the phone as day 1. I learned this the hard way when I tried to do an exchange with my 8 plus and what I thought was day 14 was actually day 15 by what the Apple Store Manager told me.

It’s your own poor planning. Did you not practice the 6P’s?
Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance

What is wrong with you?

Hmm....huh. Interesting. First to hear this.

Agreed. Ive been buying iPhones for years and no one ever said this to me. But then agin, the X was the first iPhone Ive actually returned.

He mentioned the 30 days when it looked like I would go over the 14 days waiting for a replacement. He pulled his business card out of his pocket, and wrote on it that I had a 30 day return period. I think its just an exception that a manager can make.

If that’s the case, why aren’t those who purchased at full price aren’t being notifed by the manager/genius? Why aren’t customers aware of this?

I agree with this. It also allows the store to physically see the device in the condition it is in for them in order to justify to make the return if they decide too. At least they know what the device looks like and you have all the credentials with you at the time.

Although Costco don't seem to stock X at present, plus you need card or have friend or family that do...
I think their 90 day return policy is compelling.
