Mine has a little bit of light leak at the top. At first, i was disappointed. The more I thought about it, the more I realized how stupid it would be to return it because of an "issue" I can only see when holding the ipad almost completely flat, which is not even a usable position. If I had not read about light leak on here, I am almost certain I would never have noticed that.

What I have learned;

If you didn't notice these problems before you read about them on here, than don't return it.
Half the threads here are for complaints about extremely unnoticeable things.:p

If it was something that you did notice otherwise, than i'd say return it.

I had some light leak on my iPad 2 and kept it, didn't really bother me, but no problems so far on my new iPad, I checked for dead pixels and light leaks using the flashlight app in various colours at 100% brightness. I must say though, of the 7 iPhones and iPads i've bought this is my first device that seems to not have any small defects. The only one I have ever exchanged was my 3GS which had a very uneven bezel.

By the way, does anyone know how to decode the manufacture date and facility in these new iPads?

Wouldnt it hurt resale potential because you may get buyers who demand a return for a "defective" item? I rather not risk any such accusations and get a flawless ipad from start.

I'm starting to think I've got the only perfect iPad on the planet! No light leaks, dead/stuck pixels, cool/neutral screen, no dents or scratches and no overheating.

I should chuck it on eBay and sell it for thousands lol!!

I have the same on the top just in the middle but you can only see it on when you look for it. No problem for me because it does not bleed to the screen. I'll keep this. ;)
