can someone suggest a beach vacation for around $500?

Everyone I talked to that went to St. Croix or St. Maarten said it was great. I would try there. Plus my wife used to vacation to Negril, Jamaica when she lived in Canada. She loved it.
 
It probably still is. Cruise ships still hit there. But I hear Kingston is THE place to be seen. 😱😀
