You might want to look at this thread, I have not followed it very closely (am running Catalina on my Mini) but it seems that some people started having issues with Mojave on the 2018 Mini following Security Update 2020-002

I am using Parallels with virtual Sierra and Mountain Lion machines on my 2018 Mini to run legacy 32-bit software and it works really well. The software I'm using wouldn't work on Mojave anyway. Not sure how well the virtual approach would work with audio software however.

Hi all,
Understand the specs are pretty much identical to the 2018 Mac mini. So I'm wondering, would the new 2020 Mac mini that ship out from here on out still be able to run macOS 10.14 Mojave? Has anyone been able to test or confirm this?

Really need to know b/c some software I use for work doesn't run in 10.15 yet, so I need to 'downgrade' for the time being -- that's why I ask.

Appreciate any feedback.
Has anyone successfully tried this? And is there any permanent risk to trying it with a bootable external with Mojave installer, is it possible I’ll ruin my new Mac mini?

If I can always factory reset, I’m not worried, and I Will Take The Ring To Mordor
