Oh, well. Maybe if you share another computer's internet by BlueTooth? Or maybe you have a USB internet dongle?
Why go through the trouble of a workaround. Just use the proper OS and things will work.

Okay, I installed Tiger onto an external HD, but upon boot, it reboots. Any ideas? I really want Tiger.

UPDATE: Okay, so I installed 10.4.11 update to the external HD in Leopard. Upon booting into Tiger, it Kernel Panics. Here is the report for it.
--log cut off--
That looks like problems with display drivers (wrong/missing). I really don't know why, since I got my Tiger installation up and running just by updating to 10.4.11.
SUCCESS!! First, you need to make an image of the disc. Edit it so that it allows installation on a MacBookPro4,1. Then Install the package in Leopard, not Snow Leopard. A MacBookPro4,1 comes with Leopard originally, so you can get Leopard off there. Download Pacifist, then install the MacBook Pro Update 1.1 (the old one which requires 10.4.9 or higher instead of the one that require 10.5.2 or higher) with Pacifist. Then update to 10.4.11 (Intel). Reboot into Tiger. If you want to connect to the internet whenever you want, then don't install the Security Update.
UPDATE: OK, install the updates, just make sure they are before the first boot into Tiger. Otherwise, too late.

Great job. What MacBook disc did you use (OS version, MacBookX,X)? Does Bluetooth fully work (can be turned off)? What about other things like trackpad?
In case anyone is interested in running a Penryn Macbook Pro with Tiger, you may notice that some of the functionality is reduced (i.e., the function key does not work, and the function keys across the top of the keyboard do not do the advanced functions (dashboard, expose, volume, etc). To fix this, simply grab the /System/Library/Extensions/appleUSBTopcover.kext file from a Leopard install (I dual partitioned my Macbook Pro, 1 with Tiger, 1 with Leopard), and drop it into /System/Library/Extensions on your Tiger install. Then just simply reboot (unless you know how to load/unload a kernel extension, but I still suggest rebooting). After this, the keyboard should be fully functional.
I am still working on figuring out how to get multi-touch to work on the trackpad though, i'm assuming there is another kernel extension besides the AppleUSBMultitouch.kext file that it relies on. If I figure it out, i'll post here.
Well, I am doing it for the fun of it and I would like to have Tiger on my MacBook Pro. And why not? I do it on an external HD, what do I lose from that? Nothing. What do I gain? Lots.
Bump
Also, today, I left the computer on sleep the the whole time. Internet stopped working.
Every Mac does that. Losing the internet connection while it sleep, as only the RAM is powered. So why should it be connected to the internet anyway?
