Gosh this Ebay thing has been a disaster for a lot of people.

I'm curious about the historical perspective. There has always been cons and they even used to go door-to-door.

But with the Internet the con has had a Heyday.

Don't know, looks like something happened to the seller's account or just had a stupid moment. He's had really good feedback all the way back as Oct. 2006.

pretty sure it's a hijack.

Doesn't sound like temporary, impulsive, scam artist syndrome :D

When you think about it, we are now in 2009 and people are still falling for these scams...it is simply human nature, stop, think, resist the scam.

There is a sucker born every minute.

In this case, the stupid account holder and the people that think they are getting a "deal".
They are just making it more expensive for everyone else.

take care

To be a victum of of scam is very damaging. The money is only a part of it.

it's very painful so be nice.

The reason people fall for these things isn't that they are stupid. They are usually just more trusting (and perhaps nicer) people.

(of course compulsive ,uncontrollable desire could play part I suppose) :D

Definitely a hijacked account.

Both Ebay and Itunes are two accounts I have had that were hacked into.

I logged into ebay one day and had all these auctions running that I had never started. I still don't know how the hijacker was going to collect there money because my paypal acct was fine...maybe money order?

...and had downloaded one song from Itunes back in like '05 and never used the account again and then last year get a bill from my credit card for like 280 songs. Apples stance was that its my account, my problem, so my credit card just refunded me the money and sent me a new card.
