Any way you 13" guys can update your scores with the new fix from Apple? Thanks?

Here's another data point for the 13" i7/16/1TB.

Here's the chart from before the update:

and after:
After.png
and finally the Cinebench scores from the "after".

I don't have the "before" scores, but they were about the same. There was more variation between individual runs than between before and after if that makes sense.

Regards,

Henry

Yeah, I am also seeing Cinebench variability with the i7. FPS for example, I get between 39-42 FPS depending on the Mac's mood I guess lol. But, it's nice to see in your graphs that it can still boost up above 4 GHz and that it can sustain above base clock :)

I think the variability I've seen corresponded mostly between the first run when fans take a while to spin up and the next one or two. After 3rd or 4th run, all the scores I get are stable. I never did see the wild up/down spiky graphs that others have posted...I guess that's a good thing? Anyway, I'm enjoying the two extra cores when I have to run my VM's for work.

I actually agree. I tend to see scores rise for the first two runs, then stay put at that level. Could be related to the system trying to keep the fans off if possible!

These are the results from Geekbench and Cinebench on my new MBP. I also tried running Blackmagic's disk speed test, but it wouldn't open when I launched it from the Mac App Store. Weird.
Config: Macbook Pro 13"
  • Core i5 8259U - 2.3 Ghz
  • 16 GB LPDDR3 RAM
  • 256 GB SSD

Those single and multicore scores tho :)

According to GeekBench, the 13" i7 is within the top 5 most powerful Macs ever made (with single core performance) :D

Now back to my Reddit browsing where I'm just idling this beast at 1.2 GHz lol.
