well if it was going to happen i think they would have announced it by now. didnt they announce wwdc live stream like 4 hours before?

It just blows my mind that they don't live stream this. Don't they want to at least try to show the world that they can do internet services?

[/COLOR]Damn what to do now... Go on a live blog or watch it at 7am when apple uploads it. (In Australia the event is at 3am :p)

I really wanted Apple to live stream this, even managed to get the better half to agree to watch it with me.

Hear that Tim? Yep you heard right.

Go flick the switch on the HD webcam and get your guys to get a link put on apple.com :D

But they can't do internet services. Better that they don't embarrass themselves. ;)

I hope that its not the case and we will get the live stream. I know that they post it later but it usually takes 2-3 hours which will be too late for me.
At work we have private cinema so if they stream it live like WWDC then I will be able to watch it in the cinema which is awesome :)))

LOL, a private cinema at work? Wow. Does anyone actually work at your job? That's too plush. :)

10 years ago Apple live streamed every keynote and special event. Fast forward 10 years later (Today), everyone can live stream off their smartphone, tablet, iPods, TV's, AppleTV, Macs and Windows machines. Too much internet traffic slows down the stream. One year they limited it to Macs and iOS devices and that was perfect. I wish they would at least do that as a courtesy to Apple owners. :)

Sure, but Google can manage it. So does Microsoft.

Honestly, just hire some capacity from Amazon if they can't manage it on their own datacenters. It's a nickel for Apple and would probably be worth it as it makes the launch more interesting for their customers.

you could not stream it from a non-apple product during the wwdc this year

Ever heard of Akamai? Everybody (including Microsoft, Apple and Google) is using them to distribute traffic worldwide.

It looks like no live stream? I'm really surprised. I'm pretty sure I watched the 4, 4S, and 5 keynotes streamed live. Why would they stop now? I was looking forward to this, but I'm not going to follow live blogs or anything. I'd much rather see a video.

I also prefer to watch the video, but by the time Apple posts it later today, I will be sleeping here in Germany. For me, there is nothing left but the live blogs.

Disappointed Apple won't stream this event live. There could be several reasons for this. My thoughts resolve it to either these two:

1. Apple won't be announcing anything groundbreaking so live streaming it will be a let down to many viewers.

Or...

2. Apple has something big to announce and they would rather have bloggers and news outlets release the information to create major hype.

I'm hoping for #2 but I'm not holding my breath. In recent years all of Apple's movements have been leaked well before the events. I have a feeling this event will be a launch of moderate upgrades and nothing spectacular.

They've never streamed an iPhone event live.

Samsung must be desperate. How much do they pay for advertising? I was on CNET's live stream for the event today and there was a samsung galaxy ad playing, the top had a samsung ad and the right side had a samsung ad. They are really hoping apple fails today.

What does that have to do with this thread? Yes, Samsung advertises a lot. How is that worth posting about?
