I lasted 10 or so days without it because of ISP problems. Past the first few days of not being able to check emails it got okay. It was nice not being at the bleeding edge of news and current events.

As long as I have my guitar, or people to hang with, I could go forever.

Such youthful idealism! I would tend to agree with you...

...however...

...since I depend on web development for my income, I'd starve pretty darn quick. Then again I could always get a job doing something else.... I think. I hope...

I go an entire WEEK without teh tubez™ each summer. At the beach. Good food, my family, and fun. It's not bad at all.

i had to go about a week and a half with very little internet. not easy, but you adjust.

i don't have tv and have no desire too, so i was kinda bored at home for awhile.

I had a week without access in September when I went mountain biking in Austria.

It didn't bother me in the slightest as there was plenty of other fun to be had. I was pissed off when I got home and realised I had missed the announcement of the Led Zeppelin gig in London and the registration for the ticket lottery had closed :(

At home though I just can't stand it if there is a problem with my internet connection, even if it is down for just one evening.

Not as long since last April when I told the cable co to unhook and take a hike.

How long I could go is one thing. How long I'd be happy is another.

Probably a week. I'd have the radio on for news. I'd fix up my playlists.

I'd brush the cats.

I'd...
unlock the closet and bring out the router and get FIXED.

About 15 days for me. I was in the rural woods of south-central Colorado last summer. Only "electronic" device I had was my camera and also my flashlight. It felt great to forget about the internet, computers, cell phones, etc.

This summer I'm going camping again , but this time in northern Ecuador for 25 days. Can't wait.

Honestly with so much going through email these days, I must be on my computer at least twice a day (morning and evening) at the minimum.

I feel it's too great a resource to not have access to in this day and age.

Now, as for how long I could live without entertainment like MR? Maybe 12 hours. :p Seriously, a few years ago TV was my primary source of entertainment. Now it's all about the interwebs.

My addiction has gotten so bad I'm considering buying an iPhone.

I can survive a week of vacation without it easily. But now that I have my iPod Touch, I feel like I need to be connected everywhere I go.

The time it takes me to walk to the bathroom and back. Now seriously, it depends on the situation, I lasted 2 weeks without it over the summer, but then again I went on two week-long vacations, one with friends and one with my family and had a great time on both. But if you wanted me to live in an un-social environment without internet, then probably a day at most.

Longest I've gone without it was 101 days. I usually am without it 6 months or so out of the year, due to work. (Not straight, but total) It's not that bad. Usually while I am working, I can at least get on once every month or so, but not always.

I have saved a lot of money over the years ordering goods from online vendors. I can "survive" without the internet but trying to do research and communication without it will be a big hassle.

Two weeks and I didn't use my Mac either. Little point without the 'net.

I've gone on holiday for three weeks without it really. Besides the once a week 2 minute check to see if I had been accepted at the University. Other then that, I found it quite easy to do without the internet. But once I got home, I fell right back into the habit again. If I'm at home, I couldn't go for more then a day without it.

As others have said, it all depends on where I am and what I'm doing.

I can as long as I'm kept busy. If I have nothing to do then I can't live without it. Plus a lot of my work involves the internet.

I only can survive when I am forced to. Like when I go to Cross Country Camp for a week, I have no internet and I barely have phone service.

Not very long, about a day MAX! Unless my girlfriend can take my mind off it :D ;)

But always as soon as im back online im on my e-mail, Engadget, MacRumors and the MacRumors Forums for hours to catch up!!!

Well, i think Internet becomes as necessary as mobile phone nowadays... :) But I think I can live without it for about 1 week. For example if I go somewhere on my holiday trip. But on my last trip I used to be on-line.. Maybe it depends on the type of trip. I'm sure that if I go somewhere at the sea, I won't need Internet. Nevertheless, we should recognize that Internet becomes a huge part of our lives and I guess only few of us can live without it...

At my home I can spend several hours without internet, even longer if this would be necessary. At my work I recieve files constantly so do not turn it off for a whole day. a couple of hours is all I can stand before I run out to a pc shop to get a new modem if this turns out to cause the failure.

What do you mean "without internet"? I don't understand that phrase. That's completely outside my realm of possible realities.

I saw an article about people staying online for days at a time and getting sick or dying. I thought to myself, man, they really need a computer in the kitchen.

Sometimes when my iPhone battery dies I cry. Is that normal?

;););)
