If you live in the GTA, I'll have an extra unlocked 64GB silver to sell. Girlfriend decided she is going to just stick with her iPhone 5.

Put it on kijiji (only on Friday or later or they'll delete the ad.) You should make a nice profit.

Meet in a public place and Interac instant payment is safest - no worry about a bad cheque or carrying around lots of cash. Since payment can take 20 minutes or so to go through, have him send it to you ahead of time, then he'll give you the secret answer to collect the money when you meet and he agrees to the purchase.

I've never sold a new iPhone before, but earlier this year I sold three used Macs this way.

For those of you guys who did the Reserve and Pickup option in store for iPhone 5, how early you guys going to wait in line? Will the pickup line be fast moving?

I too would like some clarification on this. The reservation email I got from Apple says to arrive between 8 and 9 am. Is there any benefit to showing up early?

In another thread someone said that you can track your order using reference, my status is preparing for shipment and tried that method and didn't work for both UPS and Fedex. Maybe it doesn't work for Canadians. Anyway, what carrier will you be using it on? I'm using it on my WIND 40 plan: Unlimt. Data, Text and Calling for $40

It didn't work for me either. Actually I tried the track by reference on UPS and it didn't find any of my recent deliveries either and it was supposed to show everything for the past few weeks.

I'm going on Mobilicity's 29 unlimited plan which also gives ½ hour of North American roaming. WIND will be my back-up. And if they both go under I'll go back to my current provider, Koodo. I have an early iPhone 5 so I can't use the others yet.

Since I have a reservation I don't think there's much if any benefit to showing up early. Maybe 10 minutes early. The reservation system wasn't well publicized or easy to find by accident, so I don't think it will be all that busy, but they'll be obviously swamped servicing the people who lined up in person to buy one. I understand they give those people appointments for when to come get the phone as well.

Still have nothing in my Support Profile. Oh well... still says it'll be delivered by 9/19-9/23.

If anyone didn't get a reservation, maybe this will help: www.iphonestock.ca

Email and text notifications as soon as reservation stock changes. Historical data too. Amazing to see even the undesirable 6 models dwindle away.

Anyone here is with Wind mobile and how is the reception compare to Fido?
I'm up in Scaborough but working in the DT financial district. Right now my option is either get the 6 outright from apple or do a hardware upgrade and get it through Fido then port my number to Wind and cancel my contract with Fido. I'm not in contract with Fido at the moment so I need some advice about this.

I wish I could get wind, but I'm in Kanata, just outside Ottawa, and reception here sucks both for Mobilicity, and Wind. I wish we had a T-Mobile here in Canada.

By the way, I just got my Invoice from Apple with the same serial number that showed up on my online account. But still at preparing for shipment.

I was hoping the same thing. I might still go a little early just to see what the situation is.

I've got wind and I'm in Markham, and it seems great so far. And for the price it's hard to beat. Don't forget that you'll have to unlock the fido phone for use with wind. It would be better to grab it outright.

I can't see my serial and nothing shows up online...

anybody here with mobilicity? if so, will new iPhone work on their network?... also how's the coverage with them? are they reliable? fast network?

I just switched from Telus to Koodo. For double the data and almost triple the voice minutes, I am paying $30 less per month. I should have switched earlier.

Telus was asking for $375 and $70 minimum plan. Screw that. I bought subsidized for the iPhone 4 and 5. Not making that mistake again.

I just checked my apple account. It's showing two out of three iPhone 6 serial numbers already.

I'm coming from an iphone 4 so I need a new nano sim so I'm going to pick that up tomorrow, all I do is put that in my new iphone and it's all good right?

Thanks!!
So I made a little calculation
Buy the iPhone 6 outright : $859 (64GB) + HST and that'll cost me $970.67

Let's say I stay with Wind for 2 years with no contract.
Wind: $35 + HST x 24(months) = $949.2
949.2+970.67 with a total of $1919.87

Fido with Tab24: subsidized iPhone 6 64GB $375 - $150 Fido Dollars
subtotal of $225 + HST = $254.25
I paid about $82/month that includes the $30/6GB
82 x 24
with a subtotal of $1968 + 254.25
that makes a total of $2222.25

...damn I'd save roughly $300..guess I'll have to go to Wind and get the 6 outright :D

^ crappy deal for you... My iPhone 6 64gb cost me $901 after taxes, you paid $70 more in taxes than me, ouch.

Anyone with Wind that has an iphone? If you do have you had issues with iMessage? Heard it doesn't work and heard it does...

i still cant believe canada got the iphone the same say as US. orders should have started in california then skipped the rest of the states and gone to canada. ya that seems about right.

Basically, the carriers lost a year's worth of profit with the CRTC regulations and all decided to hike their prices in response. That's it. No other explanation needed.

That make absolutely no sense whatsoever? Hope you are being sarcastic.

Anyone got their status changed on Fido's website or get an email? My position in line is 293 for 6 64gb and my Status: OPEN. Curious if i'll get it for the 19th.

Canada iPhone 6 thread!

Because they have to recoup their cost because of the 2 year contracts. Before this, everyone paid basically the same amount for the plan - whether you had a subsidized phone or brought your own (I think they gave me $200 credit when I brought my own phone over years ago... and then I paid the same monthly fee as someone who bought a phone on contract)...so.. they are losing money and need to recoup it some way.

People don't care about the minutes anymore - everyone is all about data, so that's what they capitalize on.

Makes me sad I left telus because I had the 6gb plan as well.. now going back I'm going to be paying a lot more for a lot less :(

They basically want you to bring your own device hence the 10% discount. Nowadays going on contract isn't worth it anymore. I too have a plan with 2GB which is around 36 after tax. A very old plan; however that same plan will cost me $80 today (for 1GB). It does not make any sense for me to buy on contract especially when contract prices are high.

Fido has iPhone 6 for:
265, 365, 475

And iPhone 6+ for:
275, 385, 495

So close to $600 for a 128GB or $500 for 64. Well, I may as well suck it up and get it outright. You know what I mean? As opposed to dropping 80-100 per month.
