Just wondering, I'm noticing a lot of Fido users here. Is there a general consensus as to which carrier offers the best support/plans for iPhone?

Assuming an unlocked phone and no grandfathered plan. I'm getting out of a contract with Bell in October, and I'm not a huge fan of my current plan.

Any suggestions?

I'm coming from an iphone 4 so I need a new nano sim so I'm going to pick that up tomorrow, all I do is put that in my new iphone and it's all good right?

I'm in the same situation and am curious about this too. I take it the nano sim doesn't come with the phone, I bought it unlocked? My plan is to see if I can bargain with a couple of the carriers to see which will give me a better plan.

Any Canadians manage to get a tracking number? Looks like a lot of the Americans got to track with their phone numbers as reference on UPS. I've tried with UPS and FedEx Canada, but no luck.

You will have to activate the new SIM first. On Rogers you can go online, enter your old SIM number and then the new one to change service over to it.

There's a Koodo plan that's supposed to only be for MB/SK but you can get it still. There's a post on Howard Forums on how to get the plan if you live outside those 2 provinces. $55, unlimited canadian calling, 5GB data.. etc.. And if you bring your own device I think you save 10%.

Who are you with right now? They usually don't give out the better deals to new customers but to current ones they may lose.

OMG WHERE????? Howard Forum? what it that??

That make absolutely no sense whatsoever? Hope you are being sarcastic.

Partly sarcastic, partly truthful.

Shortening contracts by a year did mean that the carriers lost out on a year of profits.

However that doesn't excuse the price hikes that they have put in place. I could see a difference of maybe $10, not $60.

I was able to order at 3:20 EST but no tracking yet. Still preparing for shipment since Saturday.

Our phones are currently in transit from the U.S. warehouse to be imported and distributed by UPS in Canada. Since they are boxed in bulk we do not get tracking for this.

Once they are unboxed and sorted at the UPS shipping facility, we will get our individual tracking numbers most definitely by Thursday.

That koodo deal is amazing... Why don't they offer that plan throughout Canada? Their plans in Alberta aren't anywhere near that good.

I had my order in for a silver iPhone 6 128 G via the Apple Store App around 315 am and had my confirmation. On Friday, I decided to see if any reservations were available for in store pick up and yes indeed there were. So now I'm gong to pick my iPhone up at the Apple Store, I've been given a time of 9-10 am on Sept 19 and I've cancelled my online order.

How did you find the reservations - what the URL from the apple.ca/store?

I'd rather have gone that route than via UPS.

If you go to ups.ca and choose 'track by reference' and put in your order # minus the last two numbers the tracking should work now :)

Leave the country blank and leave the type as 'package'.

Not working for me. May be it will be up by tomorrow.

No and order status still says preparing to ship.

Interesting. If I put in my phone number (format 0000000000) and postal code (format A1A1A1) and select "mail innovations," it shows that there is a shipment but I can't see anything else. Selecting package doesn't show anything for me yet.
