Spoke with UPS, they said our phones are still at Apple's Burlington location and not yet handed to UPS, just an electronic tracker was created by Apple - they expect it to be handed to them today and if so they should be able to deliver by tomorrow. He also said, they cannot hold it at facility until the first delivery attempt is made...so I didnt want to argue with the guy instead will wait patiently.

Funny it's much different here. UPS is usually just ok, I just get everything delivered to my work and because it's a major business park they usually deliver earlier but fedex is always so good, they always redirect shipments when I ask even if they're not supposed to and never had an issue with them.

Don't bother tracking today
If things work out as they did 2 years ago, don't bother tracking today as it will either not change at all or the information is not really useful.
If I recall correctly, I got the first usable tracking information in the morning of the Friday I got my iPhone 5 back then. And indeed, I got it delivered just before 12 in DT TO.

Got tracking number - with message - approx 3am this morning -
"A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated".
For 19th - 23rd sept. delivery like most others here.

The UPS order date is irrelevant to whether it is in the warehouse. That is only when the UPS shipment info and tracking number was created.
It's funny how random all the weights are. Mine says 2 lbs.
I am waiting for 2 phones so thats why my one is 2lbs. Double checked with UPS, they have my delivery date for the 22nd...what a big fail!

Yah, I am in North York - Toronto, was expecting it by the 19th based on Apple's Delivery Map
I gave a call to UPS and he said my package was scheduled for delivery on Monday?!?! I'm definitely in zone 1. Has anyone else tried calling and gotten the same response?
Anyone reserve off the Fido website and get a ship status? I started 293 in line, down to 120 but my status is still open. I ordered a silver 6 640gb.

I'm in Toronto and I called with his exact response as:
'We don't have any updates on further movements on your package, however it is estimated to be delivered on Monday, September 22nd 2013'.
This is kinda BS as it was guranteed to be September 19 if you're in Zone 1...
IF it does arrive on Monday, I think a free case from AppleCare is warranted
But Apple usually has their **** together so I doubt that it won't arrive tomorrow.
I called to ask if I could pick it up tomorrow instead of having it delivered and the lady said it was expected to be delivered on Monday the 22nd as well, wtf!!
What???? Don't tell me we have another thing to worry about now. I'm in Ottawa, and yeah, zone 1 should receive tomorrow.

I think that UPS is misinterpreting the 19/23 thing. Apple should be made aware of this BS.
Relax guys. Apple has told us those of in zone 1 will get delivery for tomorrow. The reps at UPS can only guess based on the tracking results we have, they have no knowledge or have authorized access to see anything else but I am sure Apple has a pickup request scheduled for close of business today for shipment from the warehouse.
At the carrier level there are no guarantees, none of them have day 1 commitment for delivery or store pickup of your phone. It is only guaranteed for Apple retail pre-orders.

I can see why UPS is saying the 22nd though. By default since there is no shipment picked up, they go by the service standard date so Express Saver is 2 days max for delivery but when it is picked up today, that estimate will change based on destination. It will be Monday for zone 2 though.

Congrats on getting your tracking, just got mine this morning at 1:21 am!They aren't always accurate.
When my 2011 Macbook Pro was being shipped on the day it was "out for delivery" I had to confirm something with UPS ( I forgot what - pick up perhaps? ) - but I was told it was absolutely not being delivered today - after looking it my account.
Came back home in the evening, and there was a missed delivery notice from UPS.
In my case it goes to the closest UPS store, which is a couple of blocks from me.
When a delivery is missed it's available at the store the same day, usually within an hour. My store is open 10-7 weekdays and 10-4 Saturdays, closed Sundays.
