Canada iPhone 6 thread!

I'm in the same boat except the charge has shown up on my credit card a couple of days ago. Since they only charge your card once the phone is shipped, I assume the phone is on its way and the tracking # will show this evening or tomorrow.

Thanks! Appreciate the insight... Though a friend in Montreal who has the exact same order as me received his tracking number last night :(
 
My phone is said to silver by 9/19 to 9/23 but it is still preparing for shipping....normal?????????
 
iPhone 6 leather case arrived

So for the nervous amongst you: I received the Apple iPhone 6 leather case that I ordered around 7am last Friday today.

As mentioned in my earlier post (and others in this thread), I expect to get the tracking id sometime tomorrow morning and I am sure to get the phone Friday.

Enjoy the pre-Christmas excitement everyone! ;-)

exact same boat as you my friend and ordered same time as well :D
 
Finally, yesterday my card was charged for the black phone and serial number is on my profile. My two white phones were charged and added three days ago.

Today, I received my blue and pink cases from Apple.

The store describes it as unlocked, doesn't it? I'm sure it will be. Some of the reps from various companies (Bell and Rogers) are saying that many customers are buying outright so that they can switch if necessary.

If you buy from Apple Store full price it's unlocked. If you buy from a carrier out of contract full price it's still locked to the carrier and they will charge you to unlock it. I know Rogers charges $50.00 Telus $40.00. US carriers don't charge.

Technically, every iPhone is unlocked, but ones sold through carriers lock to the first SIM that is inserted. So you could theoretically order a Rogers iPhone, break the seal, insert a Bell SIM and have it work... but the phone would be locked to Bell.

That's wrong. I tried it last week with an iPhone 5s bought from Rogers but it never worked with Bell SIM. I had to at last insert a Rogers SIM to activate it.

I'm in Montreal as well and haven't received any tracking information yet, pretty odd but I'm not worried.

No, they are locked to the carrier. Otherwise they wouldn't be earning an extra $50.00 for nothing. ;)

I bought an HTC One M8 in March, the first Sim I inserted was T-Mobile and it asked me for an unlock pin.
 
I hate to wish a Thursday away but I really wish it was Friday. I want my phone. Especially as I promised my OH that I wouldn't update my 5S to iOS 8 as he wants to put all his stuff on it and then update.
 
Yup, and Apple is making it a little more stressful for us Canadians with all the silence. But I have faith in them and we will all be happier on Friday. :)
 
In Vancouver, and Apple.ca says "Preparing to Ship" with deliver 9/19-9/21 like everyone else. The phone has also appeared in the Support Profile of my account.

Is there any way to track this package as it comes to Canada? Tried UPS but neither the US or CA sites seem to tell me.

I don't believe anyone in Canada has gotten a tracking number from Apple, so I think your friend is lying.
 
Yeah I haven't heard of anyone in Canada getting tracking and I'm reading all threads on this as I was kinda getting worried. I think considering we are all in the same boat (plane :p) that we most likely will see tracking coming up tomorrow.

How many people have received invoices though? Am still waiting to get charged and receive mine!! I ordered first thing on the 12th once I got through on the app.

I've received invoices for both my 6 and 6+ ordered at 00:15 and 00:20. No tracking, like everyone else yet though

I ordered mine on launch day at like 2:30am MT and I got invoiced right away and they took the money out on the 14 of September, that's what my online banking shows. My status hasn't changed from preparing for shipping, I'm not sure we'll get tracking, it'll likely just show up on Friday.
