Heh. People have gotten different answers.
Some Apple stores said it was fine, others said No, you must come in your pickup window!(which made me think "No soup for you!")
I'd say by 5pm, things should be sane at the store, so you'd be fine going then.
I wonder how lucky I can get November 4th with the reserve & pick up.
Did you call a particular number? The associate I got in contact with said that they can only hold after the first delivery attempt...
Well on the macrumors page apparently a lot of countries have 3-4 week shipping now so they can get one before the first week December and I got no bump ups
The reservation system is set up so that not everyone comes at once to get their phones, they know how long a transaction will take per staff and runner bringing the phones out, thus give you a time based on that. If you show up early, they will have your phone yes, but will they serve you? Depends on the person and the store, they might have too many people waiting to provide you with the 'apple service' thus tell you to come back during your time slot
Mine is showing as "Order Processed: Ready for UPS" and they were able to hold my package. Just tell them that you want to pick it up in the morning.

I will give you my experience from the Iphone8 launch with Eaton Centre pickup. My phone stayed in processing status right until the phone arrived at store. I had a 6pm pick up time scheduled, I happened to end up with the day off, so I went in the morning to try and get it earlier. Low and behold no phone. They actually get another shipment mid day, I think I got the email around 2-3pm that it was now ready for pickup. If you have a morning appointment I imagine you will get notification after the store closes for business tonight.

For those who put in a reservation with Fido yesterday morning (like myself, whose Apple order placed at 12:05am on pre-order day got the Nov 21-28 window)... So far no movement or indication that ours are shipping anytime soon, even though I'm in the 19th slot in line for the Silver 256 model across Canada.
My guess is that Fido doesn't actually have any phones lined up for launch, considering up until less than a week ago they were still telling everyone that they had no plans to carry the phone. So the odds of them somehow obtaining a whole bunch of phones for launch or even shortly after are pretty slim, unless Rogers let them have some of their allotment. So I'm not terribly optimistic.
Any movement on Fido for anyone else?

This is the first XX:05 confirmation time that I've seen have the Nov 21-28 window. Is that the time you submitted the order, or the confirmation email time stamp? Big difference.
Placed at 12:05 the second I got let into the store (refreshing every 10 seconds or so). Confirmation email says 12:06.
It seems like there are a lot of Canadians in the 21-28/20-27 timeframe. I got my confirmation email at 3:20 and placed my order 3:16 with a delivery date of 20-27.
I don’t think that we will get bumped up anytime soon. The earliest that we would get bumped to would probably be around the 17th.

The thing is there is no one between the launch group and the 20-27/21-28 people. There was a very small number of 11/14-11/21st but they all got bumped to launch as well. If that whole group has been covered that means there won't be any shipments for preorders for shipments until the 18th or 19th or we will see a bump up next week. How often do planes life from China with phones?
