Yeah I’m in the same boat, I have a nov 20-27 ship date. So I figured I would give it a try. If I get it great, if not oh well.
As horrible as it is to say guys, we all know that the 256GB models are the most popular due to the polls done here on MR. We also know that the silver is more popular than the space gray. (so, the 64GB space grey was only liked by about 16% of people).
By all appearances, the Carriers, Best Buy, Walmart and Target (in the US) were seeded in advance - I'd offer that the stock for the stores was as well.
The US is Apple's favourite child. They have many, many more opportunities to get what they want.
We really should expect the stock at the stores to be the luck of the draw. Many will be disappointed. But, DO keep to your heart's desire - appears more shipments are in the offing....delays aren't what was slated.
If you don't see what you seek, best you await a better opportunity.
(and, yes, I've been drinking....makes the wait FAR more tolerable!!!)

apple doesn’t like to set expectations so they always under promise and over deliver. it’s a rule where u never set any sort of high expectation just in case
Where abouts are you? I am south of Calgary. Still no tracking number! Status still says Order approved and shipping Nov 2. Charged to my credit card and everything.
That’s my general feeling as well. He seemed quite genuine in the fact that we shouldn’t wait all night if we wanted a 256.
Anyone else have stock reports to share? I wonder what the stores in AU had?
I stopped by Yorkdale earlier this evening (7-ish), and there was no line.
They did confirm there will be a stock for non-Pre-Order, but won't say how many.

Weird... my tracking just updated from Concord, ON to Mount Hope, ON.
Not sure why it’s routed there when in needs to get to Winnipeg.

UPS domestic flights are out of Mount Hope (Hamilton).
If I remember right it will fly out of mount hope to Winnipeg.
I live in Windsor and I had a couple packages come opposite (fly out of Winnipeg into mount hope and then concord)

Which is interesting as in other polls ou there Space Grey 256gb, followed by Space Grey 64gb, were the most popular picks and in some cases (ie Telus) all models except Silver 256gb were 1-2+ weeks out soon after preorders went up. There were STILL Silver 256gb’s available shipping out Nov 2 Monday night/Tuesday morning.
