I'm the RECEIVER you IDIOTS, I did not request it. Just deliver the dam thing.

UPS=MORONS.
The story I got from UPS last year when this exact same thing happened is that "all iPhones are on pallets and if someone on your pallet asks to have his phone cleared using his customs broker, it will delay the whole pallet". Yah right. Who the hell asks Apple to clear using their own customs broker? These come customs and duties PAID so no reason to get your own customs broker involved.

If this was not the case, Apple would CLEARLY state during sale, that customer is responsible for all taxes, customs and duties for the shipment. Which they don't.

Has anyone gotten through or called UPS about this?

Exactly!! I ordered it from Apple Canada for shipment to Canada. So I don't care where is came from, import is not my problem. Apple: just get it done before now.

"We currently have the package. The receiver requested clearance by a non-UPS broker."

I have this as well in Vancouver, BC.

Looked through a similar thread to this one for the iPhone 6. People who got this message had their shipment rescheduled to the following Monday. Well, I leave town for a week on Sunday, so there goes my shipment.

JUST CALLED UPS, she said that it was still coming today...didn't understand to much but from what I understood , it just means that the shipper (Apple) uses their own broker (what ever that means)

It's still on the truck..

BUT ITS STILL COMING TODAY

What doesnt make sense is that it was "On Vehicle Out for delivery" and then the status changed....

My status hasn't changed from 8:19am this morning. STILL in Mount Hope. I could have drove there and got it by now. Come on UPS!

What sucks about this is...I am 99% sure it is coming on Monday. No problem. I can wait. The issue is, I want to head out to do some things and maybe check out an Apple store for the watch. My luck, I would leave and this is the one time UPS gets it right and I come home to a "missed you" notice on my door Haha! You are basically a prisoner in your own home until 7PM.

Edit: I just called Bell to upgrade my modem and they can be here between the hours of 12-5. So I guess I may as well make sitting on my ass productive Haha!

It's because of comments like that the the rest of Ontario call you guys Torontards.
I live in Milton, but am originally from Edmonton. Its not just the rest of Ontario...the rest of Canada hates Toronto Haha! If you can ever find a movie/documentary called "Let's All Hate Toronto", watch it.

My friend got his iPhone 7 and my 7 Plus (we ordered at same time) is stuck in Clearance in Progress. I guess it's the Plus owners who have to wait longer.

From experience, if you see WAREHOUSE SCAN, you are hooped until Monday. You can try and see if you can pick up from Concord at this point, but usually they will tell you it is packed in a truck and they don't work on weekends, so you can't.

So I called UPS. They said its likely an erroneous scan especially because it was listed as out for delivery a few ours ago. They said not to worry and it will be delivered today. Somehow their lack of confidence makes me uneasy lol

How do I know which destination is a warehouse scan?

I just got a call from UPS regarding my shipment as their system says I requested that it be delivered to the UPS store in Waterloo even though I'm in Mississauga and the guy on the phone told me that the phones just cleared customs and have just gotten into the hands of UPS.

My tracking has also been updated to say that the address is illegible and so my shipment will be delayed.:confused::confused:

I got the non ups brokerage after it said out for delivery called ups and was told it will be delivered today.

Warehouse scan would probably happen at the hub or outlet that your phone ships from. For the GTA it looks like Concord. Will arrive there and either get on a truck or get scanned to warehouse.

So I deal with brokers all day & customs. This happened last year as well, someone in the iPhone shipment decided they wanted to use their own broker agent so they all get stuck as well it doesn't have to be an iPhone it could be another companies load that's in the same shipment, or just 1 package of someone else's. And when it comes to brokers it can take a couple hrs to clear all depends on the consignor, custom broker and customs. Fun stuff

After that I never got my iPhone on Friday last year. Apple and ups made it up to us by delivering on sat. I woke up and by 9am I had my iPhone.

I just HATE UPS...
Last year, it was a mess.... and so far this year seems not better...

First at 9am, it was on a delivery truck... YEAH... and then I refresh the page and now saying "We currently have the package. The receiver requested clearance by a non-UPS broker." This update is stamp at 12:06... this it's 11:53....

What's going on ???

Interesting. Mine is coming to my office. So we're closed tomorrow. I'm sure I'm not the only one in that boat.
