Hi all... My delivery date is set as tomorrow (Wednesday) by end of day... it's sitting in Concord Ontario right now...
I hope it actually shows up in Winnipeg tomorrow! My original delivery date was September 29! I'm guessing it goes through clearance in Winnipeg?

Great! It just hasn't cleared customs yet... and I know that sometimes it can sit for days in that state... I'll be hopeful

I really hope that is the case lol but it's UPS so I'm not expecting much. Like GaryLiao said they could be clearing customs in bulk...even the ones that aren't in North America. Is that even possible? Anybody here work for the CBSA? lol
Ditto here ... I've got a Watch coming tomorrow that is showing the same ... No idea why as I doubt Apple has asked another broker to clear it. I wonder if it's because it's coming Expedited that it has to go through a different process.

Yes theirs no date on when you can clear something for customs. I clear loads a couple days before shipment if get the chance but normally it's done on the fly within a couple hours. My driver left Guelph with a FTL headed to Elk Grove IL, I just started clearance for Detroit should be cleared within 20-30mins and driver should arrive by 2pm, to give you an example. Everything is done online now with ace or aci.
To clear a load isn't the hard part unless your working with lazy people, the hard part is once it's at the border not being stopped for a inspection. Happens to us about once a month. Used to be more when we were newer.
Edit: by the time I was done this the load was cleared.
It isn't anything out of the ordinary. It's just when a shipment comes in it has to go through customs and sometimes (maybe due to large quantity) it gets put through this process.
