LOL I find this funny.

My brother lives in Honolulu and I was talking to him about the new Macbook (I'm in Alberta) on Friday (April 17). He called me up a few hours later and said he picked up 2 from Best Buy (base Gold and SG). Plus he got 10% off. Seeing one in Canada seems like a big deal but in the States you can just walk in and buy one, and get a deal too. LOL.

Yeah this launch is so messed. My email is time stamped 3:13AM and I'm still at processing. Even worse - the email says delivers May 5-12 and my online status says 11th-19th now. Hah.

Ordered a USB-C to USB 3.0 adapter from eBay. The Apple one shows delivery 3-4 weeks and I will be travelling very soon! Apple really screwed things up this time, they don't even have their accessories in stock!

it's absolutely ridiculous that they can't even ship out damn dongle on time.

How am I supposed to restore my previous time machine without it??

I bought it from Monoprice. cheaper than Apple and without that hassle.

Did not notice until now. Same here...delivery date has been pushed out.. What a complete joke.. While in the US Best Buy is still selling with one day delivery..

This is funny, check the screenshot of my Macbook order! From Shanghai to US and back to Shanghai! I am hoping to get it with my Apple watch this Friday!

Ha! Mine did exactly the same thing. You'll see the Anchorage arrival scan show up next.

And the fun just keeps on coming.. my item is 'in transit' and the delivery date just got pushed back from April 24 to April 27, nice.

At least yours is moving? Heh. The rest of us are still stuck on "Processing" and who knows when they'll start moving. Meanwhile Best Buy US ships these things out same day. :S

With BB rush delivery, you could have it in hand this Friday.

Just played with a Space Grey demo model at Toronto Eaton Centre..... It is a real work of art, can't wait for mine to arrive... It is more than capable of meeting my needs, such a great piece of technology.

what version do they have in the store?

When's the original shipping date?
May 7th or 14th? Did u pay for express?

May 8th. Standard shipping. But maybe I should have paid for express. UPS telling me my package has been delayed due to extreme weather. It's in Louisville. There's no extreme weather there!

do they have any for sale?

after over a week, it's good to see there's actually at least a single macbook in Canada (not even for sale)

just played with it as well. there were a few people who wanted to see it, so I didn't spend much time with it. beautiful design and super light, but the keyboard felt very odd for me, although i'm sure it's something you can get used to. i opened a few sites that i regularly check and didn't notice any speed issues with scrolling and such.

Same here, had to wait to try it out and in turn someone else was waiting for me, so I tried not to hog it for too long.
And right now I just realized that I used the keyboard without even thinking about it, so I guess that I don't have any issues with it!

The thing about the keyboard is the the keys are also bigger than the current keyboard so I find that's messing me up just as much as the very small key travel. Not a lot of people are mentioning that in the reviews but I found it weird to get used to the bigger keys when trying to type on the demo.

Those are actually in stock in almost every Apple Store. It's the power/USB A/video dongle that's MIA.

I find the same, but I think you're only the second person here who's mentioned it. I particularly find the delete/backspace key is prone to a short reach.

there aren't any in Canada... unless you know something I don't

There's two at the Metrotown location in Vancouver (Burnaby technically). I tried it out and decided it was too small for me and I don't like the keyboard. It's a beauty though no doubt about that. If I was rich enough to have two computers I would use this thing as an iPad replacement, but given that I'm not that rich (though compared to where I was last year I'm great financially speaking but I digress), I'll probably get a new macbook pro when I get my next computer (likely in the next year).

True, that's what I was trying to pick up at Eaton Centre this evening when I spotted the Space Grey machine -they had no accessories.

kinda ridiculous how they can't even manage to stock up on Dongles, what am I going to do if I buy this and can't load my backup?

Stuck at "Processing Items" still. I'm starting to get annoyed/anxious/impatient.

Apple may have shipped my MacBook but I may never see it. UPS has no idea where it went.

When I asked them to look at it they just said they don't have an updated delivery date. Yeah, because you don't know where it is. China? Alaska? Kentucky? Sucked up by a tornado? Hard to say...
