To the people that have never seen it before you must not text alot

On all of my other phones they have had the option to cancel an outgoing text...N95, every SE walkman phones i've had, even going all the way back to my Nokia 3310

I would rather have a simple "cancel" button then copy & paste, mms and all this other random stuff that people seem to want

Why isn't there an option to cancel an outgoing SMS? On every other phone this is a standard feature or there is a way to do it. Sometimes I will type something real fast and send only to realize iphone autocorrect messed up the context of the entire message. Sometimes I will hit send by accident as well...A simple SWIPE TO CANCEL or CANCEL button would work.

:(

Definitely agree, it seems only logical. The only problem is, because the SMS send some what fast, it might be hard for slower people to hit the cancel button, and then they'd be mad and want the speed of sending SMS to be slowed down.

Thats why i think they should change the "send" button to a "Slide to send" ... makes accidental activation impossible and isn't really inconveinient to the user

How the heck do you accidentally hit the send button. It hardly ever works when I'm TRYING to hit send. I sit there and tap it like "Send, send damnit, sen... oh, there we go." A slide to send would be sucky.

I agree, too much work if you're just trying to send a quick SMS. It would piss people off more to have that then to have the cancel not there. Possibly you could activate/deactivate a slide to send option. That way everyone's happy!
