I am far too concerned about the 460 GPU issues, speaker crackling, UI lag, display issues of various types (uneven color and bezel not seated correctly), some keys not working, trackpad issues like three finger not working and due to shear size of trackpad and palm rejection problems it gets in the way of many during typing (me for one).

Most of the reported concerns point at the 15". The 13" main gripe seems to be battery life, so far this 13" maxed out Pro I have is managing about 8 hours, I'm fine with that.

Glad to hear yours is good. Until I see an official public response or fix from Apple I just cannot buy the 15". I had the maxed out 15" ordered (exactly like yours).

haha, you should steal clear of the forums, I got my 15" w/460 on Monday, its a beast. Screen is perfect no light bleeding or case leaks. No issues with the 460 which I have been pushing hard with some gaming just to really try it out.

Its a beast, amazing screen, super fast, cool under stress and great battery life. Couldn't goto a pokey wee 13" display with a dual core cpu which is not any good for running my VM's alongside macOS.

I don't like reading about duds either but I'm not gonna downgrade to the 13" just for that reason. I don't think you can substitute one for the other if you're getting one for specific reasons. Anyway, I'm gonna get the 15" and if it has problems I guess I'll just have to deal with it and wait till I get a working one.

Go with the 13" Take the leap of faith. You will totally enjoy the look and portability, and if you realize that it doesn't have enough power to fuel your needs within a year, sell it and get the 15" released next year which will improve on many things especially battery life. At least this way you will know for sure that the 13" is or isn't for you.

That's what I did because I downgraded from a 2014 15" to this 2016 13" and I couldn't be happier. It does everything I need without eroding the UX. The 15" i7 had power I never fully used. And the portability is a huge plus. It's much more comfortable now when laying on the couch or bed or anywhere. Light to handle. Fantastic. I find myself being more mobile now.

I only have one concern and that is the output performance to the LG 5K. No one has an answer on this now as only a couple people have their hands on the 5K display. I hope the 13" will power 1 5K without any hiccups. If so, I couldn't be happier. :D

The issue of lagging seems to be one that has been afflicting MBPs since the 2012 rMBP. I'm not saying its not an issue now, but rather pointing out, for some reason every generation seems to have this issue.

If it were me, deciding on the 15" vs. 13", I'd opt for the 15" if it was my main machine, or the 13" if its my secondary machine. For instance, I have a low end Surface Book, because my main machine is the iMac, I have no need for the horse power.

Those complaining about today's rMP with lag should try one from 2012 with 10.7 Lion on it :) For me, my 2012 MacBook Retina is miles better with MacOS Sierra compared to Lion. I get that there are issues with some but if people could only see the difference.

Looks like the javascript on the page is the issue. Part of their responsive design. Hiding the chat column. You have this issue with other sites and or browsers?

I actually don't have the issues with lag per say on my 2012 rMPB with MacOS Sierra. I use to have quite a bit with OSX Lion but that was because it wasn't optimized.

Perfect. Thank you
You are welcome

I am super glad yours is perfect, there are definitely good ones out there....and a lot of bad ones. The odds are too great in getting one that has issues. This 13" maxed out pro I have now will have to be the one I'll keep. I am NOT into Apple's poor QC risk games any longer.

A lot of bad ones? Based on what? This forum? That is totally hilarious.

Every time a new product comes out the forums are full of people with issues but I have never had an issue with any Apple kit since my iPad 3, which developed a 1 inch line of dead pixels after 10 months and which Apple replaced for free.

If you buy stuff based on these forums then you would probably be scared to buy any Apple kit ever.

This doesn't apply solely to Apple btw. Just go on the Dell forums or Microsoft surface forums or any product and you would be in the same situation.
