I am having issues with my iPhone 7 not activating. Anyone else? Tried plugging into iTunes and still nothing.

I'm having the same issue my 7plus on Verizon will not activate it says activation server cannot be reached. Try connecting to iTunes but that don't work either

No.

What I did:
1. tapped home button
2. Added my language
3. added my network wifi
4. saw my phone number to use and confirmed
5. it said it was activating
6. then get a screen "Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server cannot be reached. Try connecting your iPhone to iTunes to activate it, or try again in a couple of minutes."
7. Tried in a few minutes, same thing.
8. Tried iTunes, same thing.
9. Repeated 7 or 8 well over a dozen times.
10. ugh!

I am having the same issue. If I try using iTunes, it throws a 500 error.

I got the same error once too!

Odds are Apple's activation servers are overwhelmed. I tried via iTunes and via iPhone... same error. Give it some time.

Did you call 1-877-807-4646 from another phone and follow the prompts? The instructions don't tell you to do that but I think it is necessary. I had to. I deal with iphones for my job and whenever a Verizon iphone needs to get activated you have to follow those steps.

Same issue for me... Verizon iPhone 7+... can't be activated because can't connect to activation server.. Have tried both WiFi, cellular, and iTunes... nothing works. Very frustrating.

Hmm, I tried that and got "Could not be completed'... on hold now waiting. Maybe it's Verizon's servers...?

I just tried this, and am having the same results unfortunately :( I guess the servers are just slammed.

Same thing here. Got two iPhone 7 models today, one activated right away. The second continually fails, whether on cellular, wifi, or via iTunes.

It amazes me that we can livestream gigs of video, netflix, or whatever, but activating cell phones is some Herculean task that always brings servers to their knees.

i am the mobile device manager for our company and i can't get an iPhone 6s to activate, same errors above.

Just got this new message in iTunes:
Your activation requires additional time to complete.

Please contact Verizon Wireless at 877-807-4646 to get the iPhone added to your account. Click Continue to be able to explore its features and the App Store.

Still on hold... impressive, VZW...

Same issue, so I had to go down to the Verizon store to get it activated, luckily they're just around the corner

Guys relax its a server issue.. They are really busy.. It took me 30 mins to finally activate mines.. Just sit back and wait lol I went to eat lunch and now it's working!

Finally got thru after 8 attempts, not sure the 1-877 did or the effort I put in to go thru did it. Keep trying guys and it will go thru eventually.

I was having the same exact problem, guys. Then, I powered off my old iPhone 6 before starting the process again on the iPhone 7 Plus and it went straight through to activation!

Same here. I just called Verizon customer service number and walked thru the steps on the automated system. It took 15 seconds. Done.
