Cannot Boot/Start Apple PowerBook G4 1.67 A1139 - DVD Trying to Access CD/DVD?

Just happened out of the blue, working one minute and then...DVD stuck in drive. The drive was removed and the DVD was also removed and the DVD drive was replaced.

All seemed straight forward until restart.

There is a start up chime, the screen remains blank/black and the DVD drive seems to be trying to locate a disc.

Have you tried reseting PRAM, removing battery and holding down power button for 10 secs?
