So I've recently upgrade to a new 2020 13" MacBook pro. Today I tried to connect my iPhone 11 max pro to load some music files from the Music App and I constantly get the message "Couldn't communicate with a helper application". I can however connect to the photo app. My music is located on the same internal drive as always and will play when I click on it. I've restarted the phone and computer and nothing is working. Has anyone seen this before? Here is a pic.

Can someone give me a clue?
My music library is not on an external drive but ive connected every external drive i have yet still I get the "cannot communicate error."
On both iPhone and iPad.
Photos see the phone fine yet finder also won't see the phone.
If I create a new user i can see my iPhone in the music app ok.

If it works in a new User, something is amiss in your main User. You can either just move over to the new User or try a light reinstall (back up your data and reinstall in recovery mode without erasing) to see if that repairs your main User.
