The logic board on my Mac Book Pro is bad. I can occasionally get it to work for ~5 minutes at a time.
I need my files so I removed the hard drive and hooked it up to a Windows PC (I do not have another Mac). Using HFSExplorer, I was able to see the drive and a few partitions. However, I am not able to see the partition with all of my files on it.

Hooked it back up to the dying Mac Book Pro and was able to see that my files are still on the hard drive.

What do I need to do to see that partition on my Windows PC, using HFSExplorer or any other suggested software.

    Side Note:
My Macbook Pro is over 7 years old and they are not making logic boards for it anymore. I could purchase a refurbished board but Genius Bar said there is a high risk that the refurbished on would do the same thing.

Or if filesystem is not APFS, maybe the main volume is FileVault-ed? Most HFS tools do not handle FV.

    OP:

What version of the Mac OS are you using?
    Is the drive encrypted?

Do you have access to another Mac?
