When install Rosetta 2 on my Macbook Air M1, it say cannot update, need connect to internet, while i'm still online. May you help me?

I thought it was already installed onto the computer. Otherwise, I think all it should be is a download after you enter your computer's username and password.

@XboxEvolved - Rosetta 2 is not part of the OS and is only downloaded and installed if you install an Intel code-based app.

@Jasonwu91 - Are you behind some sort of firewall that could be blocking your connection to Apple's servers? Perhaps you are on a business network that doesn't allow for these types of downloads.

Rosetta2 is a very small install. If your network is blocking it, try a hotspot from your phone.

I believe it comes pre-installed on all M-series Macs.
No. It installs the first time it is needed. It is very quick but it does ask permission to install. It probably installs automatically if you migrated from an existing Apple silicon computer to a new one.

Interesting, here I thought it came pre-installed.
