I'm on my second Canoscan now - I had to switch from a Lide30 to a Lide210 when I switched to OS X 10.6 and the Lide 30 did not work anymore. I like the scanners, but the software sucks somehow.

With both scanners it happened to me more than once that I suddenly could not scan anymore. What helped was to delete everything related to Canon (also all invisible files in invisible folders - best done with a program like Easyfind) from my computer, restart, reinstall the scanner software, and restart again.

Greetings - desertman

No correlation with this post; but if someone using High Sierra and CanoScan LIDE 100 but does not work, look this solution:

Go to System Reference ==> Printers & Scanners ===> And you will see CanoScan LIDE 100 there
and just click " Open Scanner..." and it will work. Indeed it is weird doing like this...
