cant buy full price at vzw store?!

The VZW store that I am at said that full price is available, but you need to activate it today.

Yep, the same thing happened last year and the year before. They don't want to sell them for full price with no activation until they have enough in stock.

Ican't blame them. Helps stop the scalpers on launch day, but bad if you want it as gift.

Just spent 3 hours waiting in line to be told that I absolutely could not buy one at full retail. Even the flyer they handed me at the door shows an option for full retail.

i went to my local store this afternoon, guy said they wil have 6/6+ and no line as of right now. i then asked if i could pay full price, and they said no, you have to be eligible for upgrade, or add a line. anyone know if they were just being shady? or is that right?

Yeah i called the 800 to complain that I won't be able to just stand in line and buy at full retail. And they stated even at a cor store, it's up to the manager whether they want to sell at full price.
