So when i go into Safari>preferences>privacy and then manage website data, i go to remove all the data and it just comes right back. How do I get all of this gone? I have "allow from current website only" enabled. Confused as to why these cookies keep coming back seconds after I clear everything.
yes I am, so that I can keep my favorites synced with my devices. Now this all happens on my macpro but on my macbook pro everything deletes and nothing comes back like it does on my mac pro
This seems to be a bug in Safari, I can reproduce this. First, click on ‘Remove All’. Then wait for the items to reappear. Check what kind of data is left behind, such as Cache, Cookies or Local Storage. It will tell you this for each domain. If you know what it is, you can remove it selectively from your library: Caches: Enable the developer menu in Safari settings → Advanced. Then go to the Developer menu → ‘Empty Caches’ Cookies: delete these files ~/Library/Cookies/com.apple.safari.cookies and ~/Library/Cookies/com.apple.Safari.SafeBrowsing.binarycookies Local Storage: empty this directory ~/Library/Safari/LocalStorage ~ stands for you user directory, e.g. /Users/username. Make sure that you quit Safari when you delete stuff from the library.
