If the date on the seed is earlier than than the machine it may not contain platform drivers for the hardware. I think you may need to wait for a newer seed or get hold of a machine that was available when the seed was released...

Well I agree, but he hasn't said anything that would say he's downloaded it illegally, and the WWDC 2007 version doesn't seem to be on the two biggest torrent sites yet...

I can guarantee it is indeed up. Not that I dl'ed it.

it first showed up on OiNK but then got taken down cuz apple found out. then another person put it up on OiNK that thats where everything got started. now you can find it everywhere.

Do you have an EFI password setup? If so you can't boot from a DVD, you'll need to remove the password then try to boot from the DVD. It sounds to me like you do have a password setup, otherwise a corrupt download.

Did you burn the dmg onto a DVD with Disk Utlity?
I have seen issues in the past when burning bootable dmg images with an app like Toast, results in a non-bootable DVD-R.

SR hardware driver problem?

I burned the Leopard 9a410 .dmg downloaded from ADC. I verified the checksum. I burned the DVD-DL from the Disk Utility (Apple). Got kernel panic when booting from the Leopard burned DVD. I have a new 17" Hi-res Santa Rosa MacBook Pro, so perhaps the earlier poster is correct that the 9a410 beta doesn't have updated SR MBP drivers. I hope the WWDC beta of Leopard, when posted to ADC, doesn't have the same problem.

Anyone successfully installed this seed on a new MBP?

yes you guys can say I am a new developer on the block...

I have recently switched to Apple (for the better)
and bought a Select Developer license...

although I am new to apple but I am not stupid... yes I did try hold down C while booting and it does not work either... so yes don't question whether I am a dumbass or got the leopard from bt...

FYI... you can already download latest leopard on developer.apple.com

all I am askinf is your help....

I've been a developer for 4 years and I know for a fact that the WWDC07 Leopard 9a433 is NOT on the ADC website.

Leopard 9a466 on ADC today

Leopard 9a466 appeared on ADC today, and says "Mac OS X Leopard Client Build 9A466.This is the WWDC 2007 Developer Preview Build of Leopard." Are you saying that you have what was handed out in WWDC 2007, and it wasn't 9a466? Wouldn't that mean ADC is lying?

I'm downloading and hoping that this boots on my new SR MBP 17" 2.4GHz.

9A410 does not work on the SR MBP. 9A466 does but not without issues. Most noticeable are drawing glitches that seem to indicate the 8600M drivers aren't quite ready for prime time. (That or there are bugs in Quartz that haven't been dealt with yet.)

9A466 worked great

I got 9A466 from ADC, and it burned and installed fine after 2 tries.
Worked on 2.4GHz SR new MBP 17in HR.
