Whenever I reach the volume selection screen it tells me "you cannot install Mac OS X on this volume, your computer cannot boot from this volume" (paraphrased), tried everything in disk utility and used different virtual disks and still face the same issue.
 
QEMU wiki states the install command-line parameters should be:
./qemu-system-ppc -L pc-bios -boot d -M mac99 -m 512 -hda <hd image file> -cdrom <iso file of installation media>

Make sure that's how you're launching it.

This is how I'm launching it (except I use 1024 MB)
