I feel the iPP is a little overpriced for what you get.
Agreed, the 32GB model is probably a little to small (storage wise) and paying near 1,000 just of the iPad, never mind the stylus or the smart cover, really drives the price up.

I'm in a situation of deciding between keeping my rMP or IPP, going to keep the rMP, it's lighter and more portable, and I got a great price for it. The IPP which cost me £1100 just does not make sense economically , especially as my iPad Air 2 with 128GB cost be £375.

Maybe had I got the IPP at a bargain price, I'd have kept it , at full retail, I'd take a laptop over it.

It's up to you decide if you need a laptop or a big tablet.
In my case I bought a MacBook Pro even if I'm in love with the iPad pro.
I can't afford both, so I bought the MacBook and a Mini 4.

I really like my IPP, just not worth the premium price for me. The rMP and iPad air2 will have to see me through till the IPP 2 is out.

My 2012 RMBP 15 top spec is still my favourite machine .

Well, when I look at Apple, I don't really look at the price. If I can afford it and I like it, I buy.
Their prices aren't justified in most of the cases (almost all of the cases).
But the user experience I'm getting from Apple ecosystem is just excellent for me.
So I'm paying the notorious "Apple tax"....
